    Hello everyone

I have had a Jeep (2010 built just for me) as my vehicle for the longest time (a gift to myself coming back from my first tour) and finally pulled the trigger to trade her in for something fresh and new. Ive been looking at a few trucks and SUVs for almost a year now but I found myself always coming back to the tacoma. test drove her, got a decent price on my Jeep, and then pulled the trigger.

Coming from a Jeep (with no bells and whistles....because well...it was my first car) driving the new tacoma (got every bell and whistle you can stuff in that thing) is like driving a futuristic space shuttle to me. I miss my jeep deeply and all the work I have done to her over the years. But I am absolutely in love with my Tacoma.

I'm 58 and have owned 5 different Wranglers over the years. I do like them, as a toy. They are fun to drive and the only real option to remove the doors and top to drive. But I've never considered them anywhere near ideal as a daily driver. All of mine have been purchased used, driven for a few years and sold when I needed cash for something else, a new roof etc. Their greatest asset is that they hold their value so well and are easy to sell. It is almost as good as having the money in the bank and still being able to use it at the same time.

I sold Wrangler #4 in 2007 to help finance the 2007 Tacoma I bought at the time. I'd take the Tacoma 10:1 over a Wrangler. I think you'll be very happy.

Three years ago I bought Wrangler #5 at a good price. In 3 years I put less than 20,000 miles on it and traded it Tuesday for a 4X4 2014 F-150 Supercrew. My Tacoma is at 172,000 miles now, plus I needed something bigger. But it is too good to let go. I kept the old girl and plan to keep it for many more years. Mine is still stock, but now that it is no longer my daily driver I can see some mods coming.

I first bought my Jeep because I enjoyed going on the trails and playing in the mud. 6 years down the road, I don't really do that all to much anymore and everyone in every Jeep club that I have joined are more concerned about how their jeep looks than how it performs on the trail. I got the 4wd because I still love playing in the mud plus I have to get to work regardless of the weather.
