Washed the bed real good and threw on my new-to-me softopper. Scrubbed it clean, waiting fer dry and I'll coat it with aerospace 303

Where did you pick up a used one? I've been looking for a used Softopper for a SB for awhile now.

Having had both the Bestop and Softopper now, the Bestop looks a little better IMO, BUT the quality of the Softopper is no comparison and I prefer to roll up the sides instead of remove and store them.

Mounting my Indel B fridge slide, I want it to remove fairly easily when not in use and to also use in the 4Runner . With my 4Runner I made some brackets with 1.5"X.125" steel with 3/8" nuts welded to them, through-bolted to the bed floor and the slide bolts to the welded nuts. This worked just as well with the Tacoma and I notched the bedmat around the mounting points.

@01Tac0ma aka BashFab built me some nice sliders. They are exactly what I wanted. I'm short on time right now so I'll have to clean these up and weld them in a couple weeks but I couldn't help propping them up and test fitting.

Awesome work. Do you have part numbers for the flange and slip yoke/spline tube stub and how much the front section was shortened? I want to keep track of this so I have it when it's time to modify my driveshaft.

Thanks. Sorry, I don't think I got the part numbers. The slip yoke is Spicer 1330 series. I bought the flange yoke from a friend off a spare shaft, I don't know the part number.

My trip to Assateague Island National Seashore was fun. Unfortunately the OSV beach was closed from over wash, so I didn't get to test the 4wd. I got the tent set up before the rain Friday night. Saturday wasn't bad, and of course Sunday was beautiful but we headed home at noon. The indel b fridge was awesome to have.

This was my second trip with my sister and BIL, and my GF's first AND first time camping. She enjoyed it for the most part. We'll probably go again next year. We only lost a pack of hot dog buns to the horses
