What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Yeah man I like it. Should have never put the emblems back on when I did it the first time. I hate seeing all that dirt inside of the letters after I wash it. I'm doing what @JimboAnz did and putting the 3rd Gen tailgate inserts across the bottom

 

I've been thinking bout that as well. Didn't know somebody did that or not

Any pics out there w/ it? I like the toyota decal across tailgate as well

Old school yota decals are life tho.

 

36k tune up. U joints lubed,treated the whoooole drive train with some Lucas. The bad thing is....I bought her 5k ago and just got around to doing the plugs. The driver side had NGK in it and the passenger side had OEM denso. That was instintly concerning. Why wouldn't change both sides? It's not like the driver side is the easy side?

 

Tacomas come with half denso and half ngk from the factory

My life is a lie! Thought for sure I was getting punked. The NGK were hammered.
The Denso were perfect. Would love to hear the reasoning behind that

 

From what I've heard from others in here that's actually standard in Tacos. Don't know exactly why, but they split the truck to have half Denso and half NGK.

I de-badged the whole truck and took off the TRD stickers today. I used goo gone , plastic scraper and a little acetone to melt the TRD sticker residue. It all went well so I also did the cable mod to go with my SaBellCo tailgate lock. My only regret was not doing the de-badging sooner. I think I will make some custom emblems if I ever put anything on it again.

Toyota has a contract with both companys to avoid distribution interuptions. The catch is they have to use both plugs to keep up with the contracted amount.

I just changed plugs this weekend. The NGKs that I put in last time didn't look bad at all. I'm trying Denso this time around

 

WOW that is the WORST writing, almost painfull to read. I'm not the best at writing, but damn!

 

For a second there I thought you meant MY writing and I had to proofread my post!

But I am wondering which you like better on the spark plugs. I'm at about 32k on mine and I have had a BIG drop in mpg since I got the truck (averaging about 14.2mpg currently) and wonder if new ones will help at this point.

 

They come from the factory like that, Been discussed in many of thread.
