Bottom of my mountain. Apparently there is a shooting range on 1N09? I don't know, never been on or heard of that one before. Just saw mention of HWY 330 and got interested
Ehh not really. No thread is truly local to me because everything is an hour+ drive for me. I mean I could make a Big Bear BS thread but it would mostly be just me and @FirstGen Jer BS'ing in there. Well mostly me BS'ing with myself since he's not on as much lol

Let me know when! I'm always down for a run. Just try to wait for me to get the Mudrunner going again. I hate shotgunning :pout:

I figured, it was just shocking! The playful middle finger is definitely my thing, give it to @Nicklovin every time I see him. I think I did it like 10 times in Idyllwild

Since he's tagged in this post and will most likely see it.... :brianr:

@kyle11863 is that Lytle Creek or am I stupid? I've heard rumors of a members-only range way out in Barstow... but I have a hard time justifying paying for a shooting range I gotta drive 100mi to get to.

I have no idea. I was just told you take 330 up until 1N09 to get there.

Not sure what kind of ranges you can get but there are some free shooting spots up here in Big Bear off of 3N14. I used to pass by them all the time, just never stopped

It's easy to get 100m in some places even up to 150m in some areas but getting out to 300 is really tough and it's just a shitstorm if you actually want 400+m in a clean line. I need more trigger time than I get.

Wise man. Arrows are mostly reusable. Bows are hard to shoot though. I'm a pretty good shot with just about everything I've fired, suck ass with a bow. I'm lucky if I hit the edge of the target

A .22 is dirt cheap when you can find it, quite a lot of fun too at 100m as its right around the end of the ballistic envelope for such a small cartridge. .22LR at 100-150m is like shooting out to 800-1200m with a larger .308 or 30-06.

But then comes the issue of finding where you can do it, etc.

To be honest I don't think it would be that expensive of a hobby for me just because I see myself getting bored with it just like I do with most things. Would still definitely love to own a gun. I love to have stuff like that. Carry my knife with me everywhere

Edit: Shit I was supposed to sharpen my knife tonight but forgot the sharpener at home. Fuck :frusty:

I don't know man. I do get bored with everything. Even get bored with off roading sometimes. The reasoning I'll probably have with getting bored with guns is there's only so many different ways you can shoot a target. It would get boring eventually. That's good though. More car money :D

I'm hoping I don't get addicted. My car addiction is strong enough to be a problem. If I could I would so be like Jay Leno and just own cars upon cars upon cars.
