Which led bulbs did you go with for interior? I want to replace the lousy dim factory bulbs in mine as well

Hey, I posted this on another thread but thought I share here.

Noticed this a while ago and I am sure others have as well. When you are screen that shows you the compass and MPH, if you are driving the speed limit or below the speed limit has a light gray box around it. If you are driving over the speed limit a red box appears around the speed limit.

Yup, and you can turn the red outline when you are over the speed limit off in the options menu. I did on mine, I found it slightly annoying.

I wonder if there is an accident while it is outlined in red , the black box info will be used in court ! Big brother strikes again .

I never did the vanity yet because I never use them. But the map lights were a pain to take out. There is no room to get up there and pull. I wrapped tape around a pair of pliers and gently pried them out.

A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
Yeah I know what you mean. I learned that valuable lesson when I went with LED bulb replacements a year ago, and just ended up having to buy more bulbs to replace those. As far as the melting issue I checked the lense temperature last night after 45 mins of driving with the headlights on and it stayed between 104F-104.5F. I don't forsee the lense melting at those ranges. I used to bake lights at 250F to soften the silicone so I could split the case when I was younger and into all the halo/angel eyes/or what ever it's called now lol.

I meant to say Tacoma. The tailgate leaves much less gap than other pickups I've owned.

    So this just happened...

RAD Industries Grille, black OEM surround (replaced the limited chrome grille surround) & black OEM fog light bezels (replaced limited chrome bezels). Everything was pretty simple to install.

The OEM MGM MIRROR covers came in but I ordered the wrong ones so now I'm waiting on the correct ones. I'm debating on changing the chrome door handles to MGM ones also.

Just pull the console off it takes about five seconds to be honest with you. When I did mine I couldn't believe how easy it was and laughed at people using tape and all sorts of odd techniques when it wasn't even necessary.

That's right, no screws, just a lot of fear when you first start tugging.

Pull down starting from the driver's side corner nearest the windshield then work your way around counter clockwise. Literally comes off in seconds if you do it right, otherwise a few more seconds added lol. This model utilizes a ton of pull tabs on it including exterior body and engine panels.
