Yeah, it's pretty awesome up here. Few good spots to shoot too! Brought the ole Remington 870 and 700 in .308 this weekend. Forgot me ear pro though. Might have to find some sticks or something to shove in my ears

How did it get for mud with the rain? That would be a great spot to take the fam when all the camp grounds are full.

Left north bend on Friday at 7:00pm. Got to exit 46 on 90 EB and traffic was dead stopped. Rode the shoulder up to exit 47, took the Denny Creek road up to alpental.

Should have known traffic would be slammed at exit 52. Well the combo to the gate on the ski hill flashed into my head so I helped myself on through and proceeded up the ski hill. Stopped to watch all the suckers idling on the highway. Apparently a groomer burnt to the ground this season on the hill.

Made it to silver fir after battling 2' of snow in a few shady spots. Too much snow to continue past silver fir so I made my way down to the base area. Headed over to gold creek and took the side road to lake kachees. Found the via kachees road which took me to Easton and by the time I got there traffic was sailing so I jumped back on 90 and headed to French cabin creek/salmon la sac. Little bit of rain but had a good weekend besides the traffic.

Total travel time was 3hours! Got to camp at 10:00. Looked like someone dragged their camper trailer through the via kachees road and lost the dump hose for their grey/black water tank.

It only sprinkled here for a short while Saturday morning. Very minimal mud on the way up here.

Omg just put a winch in the arb bumper... Jesus it took 4 hrs. No room to work with. They were not kidding when they said do it when the bumper is off. I couldn't do it that way because I was going to have to install it by myself and I didn't know if I can pick up 150lbs and guide it in without scratching up the paint job....what a pain in the ass. EVERYONE INSTALL YOUR WINCH BEFORE YOU MOUNT THE BUMPER!

I got a screamin deal on it so I couldn't pass it up. I'll go to synthetic in a couple years

Did you step up to 700# coils? I'm trying to go as light as possible for my front bumper. Thinking cbi moab aluminum or maybe brute force fab tube bumper. The front ends are already so dang heavy on these rigs.

Go aluminum if you want to save the most weight

Yeah I wanted to remove the cable and install synthetic without removing the winch. After scratching my head and taking a few bolts out I said the hell with it and managed to switch line without complete removal.

Did you clock your winch to make the free spool/clutch handle easier to reach?

    Speaking of winches.
Anyone wanna help take a look at my winch? I'm not extremely electrical savvy nor have any type of voltage meter. I bought it off a dude back in Alaska. Worked just fine on his jeep. Installed on mine and there's no powa. I'm thinking it's a grounding issue
