    so to you my friends i'll ask this stupid question first. can you bed line a tacoma bed? many have asked and yes i understand the bed is plastic but there is a reason i ask. my beautiful asked me to take a dried up gallon of paint to the dump
    it was not dry

    I think I read that someone has bed lined the bed... paint stripper might be better.... What kind of paint? water based or oil based? If it's not dry yet, get some soap and a scrub brush or paint thinner

    or get some black paint and cover the white up :D

    she jumped rt in there and we cleaned up all we could it's oil based paint and i ran out of thinner. she thought the paint was dried up bless her i had just put the bag with the stuff in it in the truck and was still loading it when i looked and the paint was running everywhere. it even went through the bed and ran all down the frame and then got in the tires

    Oh Chris, I am truly sorry. That is a nightmare. I am not sure if the bed liner would stick well to the composite bed. I would think a bed mat will cover most of that. But try some solvents first, a small spot to be sure it won't damage the material
    Let you wife know we are not happy with her.

    we cleaned up as much as we could right now we're leaving for the beach in the morning so i'm going to have to just park the truck in the garage and work on it when we get back. i'm hoping the bed is slick enough that a power washer may peel whats left of the paint off. if not i'll have to get a bed mat and maybe spray paint the sides. she was suprised i wasn't furious (which i was pretty upset) but when i saw how much it upset her there just wasn't much for me to say. what's the absolute worst fix? buy a new bed? not the end of the world

    Called an option. We went straight to the ORP without spending 2hours + going after the camera. (I carry a flip phone with almost zero camera) Barely got the tires dirty. A big ol' cloud moved in, we made it to high ground, then the sky opened up. Fun....for about 20 minutes.....

    Home. Seafood grill time now.

    NASCAR until I drift off to sleep.

    I wear an Army hat to work. It's the new digital camo, with ARMY in block letters on the front. It gets more attention than I really mean for it to get. I'm not one to need recognition for my time served. It was my duty. It was an honor. That's good enough.

    This particular weekend, I sometimes find it annoying that MORE people DON'T know what Memorial Day is all about. As nice as it is that people thank ex-military (and active duty) for their service, this day, this weekend is to pay tribute to those who left it all on the battlefield. That "Last full measure of devotion"....This is THEIR day.

    Later today, after I get off work, there's a VFW post that does a ceremony at a grave yard near home. It's become a tradition that I stop by in time for Taps.

    Don't misunderstand what I say....It's NOT wrong to recognize ALL present and former military. Just keep a special day for those who gave their all so the rest of us can live free.


    Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

    Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
    But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground.     I thank those that are still with us, because they are alive, and remember those that have passed, not just today, but on every occasion that I can.
