Just look at the build thread
If you wheel the truck, the wrap arounds are worth it. I can direct you to several people who dented a bedside in the exact spot the wrap arounds protect.

I don't wheel it, just run trails and the desert.

I would get a high clearance if you get a rear bumper. I am one of the people @Balockay is talking about. I was very glad I had it after the fact. I didnt do anything crazy either.

Yeah, the wife and I are discussing this too.

If we're willing to drive 10 hours to Big Bend, what other options are there?
    Santa Fe?
    Memphis?
    Colorado Springs?

Memphis? Why would you go there? The only good thing there is BBQ. I have family there and I realllllly don't like that city

Do Nashville instead, cool stuff there and lots of places to wander in the woods nearby

    I like the look.

I'm not 100% on it, but I think it's neat.

edit: But I would like to carry a spare tire + 3x 5gal scepter jerry cans.

You can get that with a single swing. I really enjoyed my CBI swing rear. Relentless made a custom one for a guy in the northeast that held 3 rotopax cans.
Based on All Poo reputation for qualityams knowing how much stress is put on a swing out I would look else where.

I looked at CBI for a single. I like their table addition, seems super handy. Work light idea seems cool too.

Yeah, I've heard about AP's reputation. That's why I was looking for other options. Thanks for the warning though.

    I'll check out Relentless.
