I want to widen the stance of my truck by 1"-1.5".
That is to say, place my tires .5"-.75" further away from their original position.
I dont know squat about how to calculate wheel offset so im seeking help from you good people.
Is there a signifigant offset difference betweel Chevy and Toyota 6 lug wheels?
If so how much of a difference?
Would it be simpler to buy aftermarket wheels with ab offset? If so, what offset should i get in order to achieve my goal?
    Thanks for any information.

You could get hub-centric wheel spacers. They come in different sizes but 1", 1.25" and 1.5" are common.

Way too wide for my taste.
Also i do not trust spacers, hubcentric or not.

Just saying. I've had hubcentric from spidertrax for maybe 45k on them and no issues. The only issues I've seen are from some one over tightening the lugs which can happen with out soacers

Yeah you can get .5" spacers as well - I was just saying they're not as common.

Lots of people have good experience with spacers. I run them in winter so I can fit some big ass chains.

Big ass chains is exactly right!
My limit is .75", if they made hubcentric .5" or .75" spacers i would try them out at the very least.
All ive ever found that narrow are crap spacers.
I dont think hubcentric would even be possible at that width because lug nuts are taller than .75".
If you know a source of thinner hubcentric spacers i would be interested.

    Those look perfect!
There's a thread on this forum discussing those exact spacers.
One guy says he was having issues with the lug nuts being too long for the wheel to sit flush against the spacer.
Others report having no problem at all.
I suppose ill just order a set and see what happens.
    Thanks for the tip :)

No problem. I thought that for those spacers, they'd provide appropriate lug nuts.

Im sure slightly shorter lug nuts exist but i would be concerned about any loss of thread surface contact.
The spacers wouldnt ever need to be taken off when removing the wheel.
So I assume I could compensate for thread loss by using Red LockTite on the wheel hub studs.
