Our church grounds have a lot of rabbits and woodchucks along with a herd of deer. There is actually two fences being installed and both are welded wire fence. The lower fence is 28" high and has 1X1" squares topped with 1X2" squares. The next fence is 3ft high and is 2X4" rectangles. I am hoping deer will not be a problem. Most deer can clear an 8ft fence with ease. We shall see.

NBD, they are just able to spy on you that much more! o_O

Search> "windows 10 customize settings", there is a bunch of info. on there about using the express or custom settings.
Do a little homework, if you decide you want to change those settings it looks like it can be done. I just asked "ask.com" about changing from the express to the custom setup, and under "If you want to stop Microsofts prying eyes" was info. on how to do it.
No need to do it, but your call! :notsure:
Don't forget, I'm an idiot on this contraption, so at least double check anything I post relating to a puter, just trying to do my best!

Good morning all! It looks like you have been busy with projects and upgrades!! I've been running Win 10 at home and at work for quite awhile without any real issues other than getting used to the new navigation set up and feel. Like Sue, I don't want to worry about upgrades or getting a virus due to lack of support so I made the jump early.

We spent the last few days working around the property and (finally) enjoying the pool. It was nice to get to use it after all the crap we went through last year getting it built. We went with a salt water pool with a heat pump heater and love it. We're only running the heat pump 3 hours a day and while we are actually swimming and with the sun warming the water the temp was at 86 yesterday afternoon.

Here are some pics from yesterday morning:

Enjoy the day and take a moment to remember all those who gave their lives in Service to our great Nation.

It is a fantastic system - it runs similarly to a water softener in that it runs a low dose of salt ppm to clean and soften the water. It's a little more than used in a softener but doesn't bother your eyes and feels silky. And, since salt is NaCl, you don't need to add any chlorine. The system senses when it needs it and generates it on its own.

Good morning, thank you service members, past and present.
Chased 6 deer out of the yard again this AM, about to go cut another load of firewood this AM. Slept in slightly, did not sleep well as my neck is bothering me. Good news, won a very rare stove on the bay this AM, one I've been looking for the last 8 months or more for. Even had contacts in Norway looking and asking friends if they had one for sale.

    Awesome property Mark.
    The view is amazing.
Rain finally stopped so full throttle ahead. Got the outside done. All veggies in the boxes. A little more painting on the tool boxes.
    I'm tired....

Thanks, Mike!! Your house and yard are looking good!!

We're getting slammed with a huge thunderstorm right now. There's a break and then a line of lighter rain behind it. But, before it got here it was gorgeous! Sunny and warm.

I installed a ceiling fan in the pool shed today and hung a clock/thermometer on the outside. With the doors closed on that shed it gets really hot inside even with the windows open. The fan will at least keep the air moving. I also stocked the refrigerator/freezer in the shed with beer and water, fruit pops in the freezer side and still need to get some soda to put in. And, I found some time for a quick swim and soaking up some rays.

We've got 57 acres of heaven here in northeast PA. I wouldn't trade it for anything, even in the cold of winter.

I am new to the 60+ year group here, have been reading a lot of your past posts and discussions and you all seem to be great friends and have all sort of interests.
Just turning 60 and still working, wife of 39 years retired last year after her dad past and now her mom lives with us (Alzheimer's). Our 30 year old daughter who is (handicapped) is still living with us. After the passing of father in-law we are working on selling and disposing of their modest estate. With all this going on my stress and anxiety is getting worse as I get older. And don't see relief in the near future.
Have any of you had to deal with major stress in your 60's and any suggestions on how to cope. I don't like meds, enjoy my beer at times, but time does not allow me to enjoy hobbies that I enjoyed in the past. Can I expect to see the light at the end of the tunnel any time soon or does the tunnel keep going and going.
I know a lot of people have a lot to be thinking about on this Memorial day, besides my stress. And I am so thankful for those who have sacrificed for us.
    Sorry for the personal rant.
    Kevin

2 beds are constructed and in place but still need to be leveled up. The important thing IA we have a process in place to build and set the raised bed.
Took today off but here is a pic of the raised beds set in place.

Welcome Kevin. Sorry to hear about the FIL. My dad passed about 8 years ago with the same affliction. It is never easy. Pop up a few pics of your Tacoma.

Hi, Kevin and welcome. I just turned 61 and have been looking after my mom for years. She had a stroke about 6 years ago and lived with us for 2 years until we were able to get her out on her own. But, she didn't drive so we took her everywhere. In the past few years her health issues have increased - cancer, lung disease, etc and we just recently put her in a nursing home. Much stress plus I work as a president of a small college and we have Lynn's mom to also care for as well as 57 acres, two houses, lots of grass to cut........ Mega-stress.

For me I just take quiet moments to do small things to rest my brain. Surf the net, read a chapter of a book, do a puzzle, etc. I also have decided that I am not going to live my life as others think I should. That means I find those things that are important to me and do them. At work, I generally never schedule anything for Fridays - that is my time to read, write, or just blow off the day and play golf. And, when I cut grass I wear my headphones and blast my favorite music. Find those small things that will let you disengage - it doesn't have to be long periods...but you do need to get away from time to time. Lynn and I take a week twice a year and leave the area. Total de-stress time.

I hope this helped a bit. I know each situation is different and we all view stress in different ways. Perhaps I'm fortunate in that I spent 26 years on active duty in the Army in many stressful jobs and circumstances so I learned early in my career to "break contact" mentally. You can do it, too. It just takes some focused effort.

    Evening all:
Welcome Kevin, join us on the porch, but first fill up the cooler! :D
There is light at the end of the tunnel, just hang in there. A lot of others have been down your path, you certainly aren't alone.

Project is looking good Tom.
BUT: shouldn't you be planting things already!!!

Thanks Mark, I do wear my headphones when mowing and it does help, and probably spend to much time on TW. We used to go camping in our antique motorhome but it totally confuses the mother in law and got to stressful. So it is still parked this year. We take a week in late summer to head to the beach (rent a home). I guess I need to try to sneak in some more me time.
My wife is amazing at handling all she does, and does what she can to keep me from the stress items of daily things.
Also want to thank you for your service, I am sure your family is proud of you. My brother did 24 years in the Air Force and I thank him often.
    Again thanks for the advice.

Hi Kevin, welcome. I've only been here a few months, nice bunch of folks. I was over 30 years in Retail Management, just have to take time when you can. Motorcycle ride, camp, garden, go shoot some guns. I got tired of working and its expectations and for new processes all the time. With family, not sure how you can disconnect. The last few days I've been watching the Monarch butterflies from my deck, just seeing how many I can count at one time within my view. Simple, but no major thinking involved.

Thanks Duane, I will definitely try to take a few minutes to enjoy the simple things around me that are so often taken for granted.
