    Good Morning TW Members!

As I recently pulled the trigger on the Icon Stage 2 lift kit for my 3rd gen Tacoma, which took a lot of indecisiveness, going back and forth between the Boss Lift and Icon. It's now time to decide on tires. As I have used the search engine, there's a ton of back and forth responses on tire size decisions with the lift kit. As I still can't decide, I would like some help from the fellow TW members in a poll.

    Details:

    2016 Toyota Tacoma
    Offroad
    Short bed
    Auto
    4x4
Icon stage 2 kit - being installed professionally
    New wheels - 17 - 7 TRD Pro

285s with minor trimming or 265s with no triming... Kinda up to you based on how you plan to use your truck. I only have a 2" level on mine with 285s and plan to put 315s on it next. It all comes down to how much work you want to do to make them fit

What he said. I would go bigger than you had said. I can fit those sizes you mentioned on my stock suspension

Good question. I purchased the tires before I did the lift, they fit on stock suspension but I just wanted to level the truck off

Would you get 285s if you did it over again?

I might because the nitto g2 AT comes in a p-rated 285. The lightest weight out of all the 285s at 44lbs each. My 275 bfgs each weigh 55lbs

don't put a P tire on a lifted truck, that would kind of defeat the purpose

Looks like a mixture in votes but majority leaning toward 285s.

Do you want a lifted truck or a Prius?

IMO The 285's fill the wheel well perfect with a 2-3" lift. If I was running stock height, I'd get a 265 or 275. Also, bumping up to the 285 will ride a little harsher because of the E rating. But it's a trade off getting a little extra protection with 10PLY.

I figured you'd rather have taller and wider. It seems like going with something over a 285 would limit the ability to get taller tires.
