I believe this is the # I called. Be sure to be nice when you talk to them. I have a feeling if you call unhappy it won't get you very far. As the lady I spoke with was super nice.

Already on it! the sad thing is, the dealer ship that I originally bought the vehicle from called the dealership in my hometown while I was sitting in the parking lot and offered to foot the bill. which was actually pretty cool of them (they didn't even ask questions about it) but still, Im a little upset that I bought a brand new truck and the first thing that I have to do when I get home is grease up the u joints because no dealership has a damn grease gun ($20 at auto zone.....right across the street from them) AND make sure all my fluids are topped off with the money out of my pocket because someone didn't do their job...

I only have one Toyota dealer where I live and I thought since between me and my family we've bought 12 new Toyotas from them. So I figured the help would have been a little better.
When I was talking with the lady from HQ I said that I was unhappy with buying a 40k truck and the dealer not wanting to give me the time of day with answering questions or solving "issues". HQ wasn't happy with the dealer at all. My dealers been great since I've made the call to HQ. Later down the road my dealer get the one and done, if they fail to help me, then HQ will receive another call.
    Best of luck!

Its sad this this is what we have to go through to get good service. Even after I showed the service rep the pamphlet and how it lists "FLUID LEVEL ADJUSTMENT", she still proceeded to tell me "yeah but transmission fluid isn't counted towards that.." But its a fluid... (Lady repeats herself and then adds) "thats just how it is"

I'm gonna keep that HQ card in my pocket for now on. There is no excuse for this laziness

It is sad! People work hard for the money to buy nice things. And then the be treated the way so many people have been involving service. It's not to hard to do the right thing. But like you said, LAZINESS! it's everywhere!!!
I will say I was beyond pissed about some things I've had problems with. Especially since my 10' Tacoma was paid for, and I dropped a little over $20k cash for and traded my 10' on top of that for my 16'. It's just frustrating have to go through some of the hoops on a brand-new truck. But at the end of the day I absolutely love my 16' plus she's paid for ;) ha

Yeah, I traded my 2010 in for this as well and that was my gift to myself after my first tour. It was hard to give her up and I absolutely love my new tacoma...but this service is very disappointing and now I'm telling my better half to hold off on buying a new 4runner until we figure out how toyota handles its business AFTER the deal...

Dealer support is trash. Unfortunately I'm big in Toyotas ha. Hopefully the dealer's will pick it up and quality control out if the plants will be resolved. 1st year problems I guess :notsure:
    Thank you for your service!

My vote is for white lettering. Which I will do when the tires I have wear out.

A lift indeed =) that is a 3-1 pro comp leveling kit, with 1.25" spider track wheel spacers on 285/75r16.
The steps still sit higher than the body did without the lift. So no loss in clearance. They actual thread into the preset drill slots. 10 mins to put on, 10 mins to take off if need be.

All 6 Tacomas at my local dealer had that same gap on the left side. Sales guy said it probably has something to do with the step that can be installed. Still shouldn't be being sent out like that though.

    Hello Mr. Smugly.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, but I have (2) questions, if you please.

    1) The product description on the Super Springs web site indicates that the Sumo does not touch the bump spot on the frame until the truck sags a bit. If that is the case, how do the Sumos raise the rear by 1/2 - 1/4 inch (or add some arch to the leaf springs)? I don't understand.

    2) If off-roading, does the presence of the Sumos affect the rear axel articulation in any way? O I know that a solid axel does not articulate like independent suspension does, but still, any loss of off-roading capability?

    Thanks much................... Frank

At least I know now that it's not something unique to my truck. Sorry to make everyone run out and look at their bumpers but like some of the guys on here said "It's out of sight, out of mind." Guess that I'll just mention it when I go in for my 5K service and see what happens. Thanks of all the input from everyone on here though. ;);)
