We liked the CRV a lot when we bought our CX-5. It was a strong 2nd place. I still wish the CX-5 had a Honda badge.

The only recommendation I have is to drive the actual CR-V you will be purchasing. I don't know if they have solved it yet, but there were a bunch of complaints about the CVT having a weird vibration at idle. They don't all do it (kinda like the rear suspension vibes on the Tacoma) but a lot do.

Colonial sold out a lot of their dealerships. I think Balise owns them now. RRG should know about this

BTW I still say stay with Bernardi. My family has bought a buch of cars from them and they always treated us right

Don't know if you worked it out yet but I have contacts at chambers too. I forgot that wasn't too far from you

I highly recommend the gallery stores to anyone looking for a car. They take great care of their customers. I can get you contacts

Spending the day taking apart our playroom upstairs for the new carpet being installed. As with any playroom it gets really trashed with stuff that you just don't throw away so this is quite the little project and now it's getting very muggy up there.

Well we just bought a CRV. She is happy about picking it up on Wednesday. It was easy to deal with them, no bullshit or games. Happy with the deal we made after a couple back and forths

Nice, Billy! That's actually where I bought my Tacoma. They always treated me well through service and the TSBs.

Dorman makes a better designed unit that spaces it off the rail better so it doesn't corrode.

Ok. Here is one for you all. My daughter's 05 Malibu has a factory alarm and an aftermarket (clifford) remote start. She came home from work last night and 30 mins later her alarm was beeping. She went out to put it in the driveway and her radio was playing on its own. The same thing happened again today. I went out after reseting the beeping and it was locked with the radio playing. Ing. switch, BCM or clifford is my thought

I'd put my money on the Clifford unit itself or something that occurred during the install (assuming you didn't do it yourself).

No Lisa had it installed for her for xmas. I looked quickly and didn't see the module so she will bring it back to them to have it disconnected to troubleshoot

Chevy uses a weird connection for their radios, at least my old 04 did. There's a control unit that's somehow attached to the ignition that makes the radio play all the dings and beeps. I put an aftermarket stereo in mine and had to buy another $150 unit to retain all the factory sounds. I wonder if that has somethng to do with it.

That seemed to be the best compromise in the model range. We were looking at the EX, but the EX-L had all the features we wanted.

It will be a great vehicle, and best of luck with it!

This..I believe it's the AS-1 module you need if you use an aftermarket stereo, cost me about $80 when I changed the radio in my 06 Colorado. What Mike said about the bells and whistles coming through the radio.

I could be wrong but I believe the chimes is internal with the factory radio so if removed that's why you need the AS 1. If that's it, spend the $80 on a good one instead of the Scosche POS one.
