NW WA Meet / BS Thread

Did some light offroading, camping, and mountain biking by Cooper Lake/Salmon La Sac. Still some snow on the ground. Saw a Tacoma probably stuck in some snow getting yanked out by another Tacoma.

 

Anyone want to hit up tahuya sometime later this week? I have a week off from work and would like to hit up some trails.

How did u get the access gate code? Lol

 

I used to work there.

 

I always wanted to get up there.

 

You only need the gate code on one side. You can drive right up to silver fir and on across the "summer road" to central and then to west from the hyak side. No gates until you get to west at the end. I should have taken more pictures.

 

Who is going to the Off-road Expo? We need to get a plan to get spaces next to each other?

Please be careful of Ferry wait times! Ill have to check times that morning but there will be lines. Im saying this because I missed the ferry last time and everyone had to wait for me haha

Are most of you camping when you go to tahuya? That Sunday (19th) is Father's Day. Is that going to effect some decisions?

 

I think the date is the 18th? Saturday?

As far as I know this is a day trip.

 

Most will probably just make a day trip out of it. The trail only take 3-4 hours though with a larger group might be a bit longer. The off road park doesn't offer much in the way of good camping but there's other places you can go instead.

The lake should be perfect for crossing too in two weeks. A buddy was out there Saturday playing in it and it was up to his door in his old Toyota truck on 33s.

 

It can be either a day trip or camping. I didn't know that Sunday is Father's Day so that might cancel my camping plans..
Normally I'd go down and camp near the big steel bridge the night before but I now work every Friday night until 11
