    Hmmm.

That is a possibility because my wheels are within 50 yards of the truck. And I've heard of that on the other threads - but what about when I start her up after work or at stores etc. Hmmmm

This might be a dumb question but can any tire/ service station switch out my wheels and put my sensors in or do I need to take to the dealer?

It kind of surprised me as well with my wife's RAV4, that we can be out and about all day, but unless the car has been on for a significant amount of drive time, the TPMS light does not come on, and it goes off as soon as we return home and restart it.

Interesting. Clipped from the Brochure. For double Cab TRD Sport it says "-" option not available. But also has TPMS (with individual location alert) as Standard....

Well I guess I solved my own question with a little effort-Confirmed.
My 4x4 TRD Sport Upgrade Package DBL Cab MT has NO TPMS.....

    upload_2016-3-18_12-22-48.jpg

Not logical in my opinion, but I guess part of the other ways to do "cost savings" Sweers was talking about in his interview with Autoline.
    :burp:

On the glass is half full side- now I can sell my Gen 2 TPMS

Adjusted my pressures for the warmer weather, after the 5k rotation and did the re-set per the manual. Pressure read-out for each tire is gone. Been fighting with this system since I got the truck and did the wheels and tires. Not going back to the dealer for now.

Must be a Canada thing, cause in the US you have to have TPMS on all vehicles 2007+. I am really surprised that Toyota would skip out on that for the Canada model. Well, that would be at least one positive to buying a Canadian model.

My post #45 was from Toyota.com. next post was from Toyota.ca.
It may not be on US models according to first pic. Its shown "not available" and also "Standard" at the same time... wtf does that mean. Lol . Standard cancels out not available?

US law requires TPMS on all vehicles manufactured after 2006. I am sure all models of Tacomas sold in the US have them. Optional in Canada.

It is telling that your truck has the system that reads individual pressures. Matt

I'm confused about the TPMS. I purchased some Ballistic Off-road Wheels, but I've not had them installed yet. Can the sensors on my Limited wheels be swapped to the new wheels?

    Thanks!

I'd sell them tomorrow to anyone who pays to remove them... Dumb-ass shit those things..!!

Yup thought was weird as well. But triple checked spec sheets and never a warning gone off for me when swapping wheels and tires-which brought on me checking the spec sheet.

It is required in the USA but not Canada. Its an option on Canadian trucks.

Does the TPMS have a fuse that controls only it? Perhaps it can be put to sleep.
