I have a 2016 Tacoma Limited. When I push and hold the off-hook button on the steering wheel and ask Siri to show me how to get someplace, she starts telling me how to get there, but doesn't show me on the screen? Anyone know if there is a way to get the map data from the phone to the screen or is Siri really just for making calls?

Making calls and sending text messages mostly. Can use it for audio directions as you've found.

There isn't a stock way to mirror the phone on the head unit for iOS or Android though.

Thanks. I guess I can use that other button to verbally ask the Tacoma to show me directions? Does the Tacoma understand voice commands that well?

Yeah you can use the entune button to operate the head unit. I highly recommend going through the voice learning feature that is somewhere in the settings. Made it much better for me.

It is really good at recognizing addresses. It does pretty well for well-known destinations/chain stores, etc. it struggles with mom and pop type places.

Siri is not compatible with Entune. You can use it on your phone (through the speakers, but not on screen).

There's a kit to mirror your iPhone to the display but the controls have to be done from the phone. I'm hoping there will be a waze app for entune. That would be awesome.
