^ nothing needed. direct swap from stock wheels to TRDs (both are genuine toyota parts). I posted before, dealer wanted $260 to swap tires and sensors, local shop did mine for $140.

sounds about right, they just quoted me 137 but it will be slightly
cheaper as he was including 4 of those "kits' that we don't need for this application.

Richmond here. There's a local Meineke shop near my office that does great
work, easy to deal with and great pricing so I'm taking it there.

I had to replace the goodyears because I got a flat with less then 2k miles and it was not reparable. The goodyears are only a 4 ply tire and very susceptible to flats so I went with the toyo AT II and have no complaints yet

Just got mine installed this morning.

Has anyone else had any balancing issues with this combo? Stock was 100% perfect. Discount Tire installed and balanced them this morning and it was horrible at 35-40 MPH and shook like crazy going 65-75 MPH on the highway. Thought it was going to loosen my passenger seat right off the bolts. Went back for a rebalance using a different method about an hour ago and while it is better, it still shakes fairly noticeably.

Perhaps I'd be best off going to an independent shop or Toyota themselves? They did say Toyota trucks in particular are hard to balance. I remember my 2004 Tundra had to go back at least 5 times and a few different shops before I got it balanced. And it had the stock wheels too. Never an issue with my '09 and the TRD beadlocks though.

Can't wait to take them off road a bit later this evening. Got a on a somewhat sketchy back road to check out. Made it in my stock tires okay in 4wd but didn't feel to comfortable about it going up hill.

I hear you. Mine were first "road forced" balanced using a Hunter machine. It was shaking too much. I took back and they balanced using a Hoffman balancer. Still shakes, but not like you described.
I think these tires since they have stiffer walls, we are feeling every imperfection on the road. I wonder if others are having similar issues.

I'm 100% sold on this set up, my question is if I add a 1.25 wheel spacer will it have potential to cause more rubbing? or will it make it so that there is less chance of rubbing, sorry this is probably a stupid question...

    Thanks!

Hmm. It definitely feels like a balance issue since it happens on known smooth highways and the steering wheel shakes back and forth along with my passenger seat wobbling. Very noticeable over 60 but they fixed it around 40 now. But I'm going to be spending hours on the highway on some trips next month so it'll need to be fixed by then. I might take it to Toyota themselves and see if they can help since I'd assume they'd have the equipment since it's an OEM wheel and a popular tire. I'm going in at some point to get trans fluid checked and some other minor nagging issues checked, so I'll try and bring it up then. Could also be the actual tire if it was sitting on the bottom rack for a long time or something, but I hope not.

Here's a quick little write up on wheel spacers I found. You really shouldn't need them with this setup since there isn't any rub that I've noticed anyway, even at full lock in reverse. It would help if your wheel had improper backspacing or you ran a wider tire on these. But for 265/70's you're good. Plus it's a 7" wide wheel so it won't be holding huge tires anyway, though I've seen 285's on them before.

To those with these rims: Are they one solid piece or does the center hub come off? I'm trying to figure out if one could be carried as a spare - It would be nice to have a spare of the same size and I'm not quite ready to buy a bumper to carry one on yet.

Also, You've sold me on this combination - I'll probably get the grey rims though since i've got a MGM '16.

Are here many here having the shuttering issue who are using the TRD
wheels with BFG KO2's??? Had me worried now, my TRD's are due in this
week and I'm taking my KO2's off the stock wheels and putting them on.

I have the KO2 265/70/17 c-rated on Alloy wheels, installed and balanced by my Discount dealer, and the ride is the smoothest I've had with this 2008 4WD, DCLB, truck for a very long time.
I, too, would suspect the balancing. Could you check the wheels without tires?
Is the ride smooth with your current set up?

Got mine installed yesterday. Bjs tire shop ordered wrong tire on 1. So I am sitting on a spare in the back until later today. Either way looks good and ride smooth even with the spare. Already sold my stock rims and tires with 8k miles for $900.

Nice! I'm waiting for mine to get here on Thursday. Ordered 4 + a matching spare came to $880 and 5 BFG KO2's 265/70/17 C for $932 shipped from 4WD.com

Hope that was a decent price. Best I could find.

Did anyone buy a spare for this setup and is that a common thing to do? If so does it fit under the truck?
