Good Morning 50's. Last day off from work and I got up early so I could loaf longer. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can get in a bike ride this morning. I plan on washing the bike later and doing some maintenance on her. Whatever you're up to today please stay safe and enjoy your day.

@ work. No one else is! We were open yesterday, not usually so on a Monday. So, we're closed today. Just me here until my pest control guy does his service, then I'm going home. I have a truck in need of a cleaning! No serious exploration, but a little playing in the dirt over the weekend. 2 weeks today all the prep started for surgery. Major improvement in how I feel in 2 weeks. Actually feel GOOD again!

Tomorrow; Doctor @ 9AM. Board meeting @ noon. Cut grass when I'm home. (Just the part I can do on the riding mower....)

My cataract surgery scheduled for 10 this AM. Was told to arrive at Ambulatory Surgery Center at 8 AM. So I moved heaven and earth to arrive on time. Damn doors were locked at 8 and the receptionist arrived 15 mins late to open up. Makes me wonder how tight this ship is run.
I better make sure they know exactly which eye they need to operate on. Lol.

IIRC it was @johneman in the 60+ Thread who told me "if you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have too, that's the rule." ... or something like that, so...

    Morning Kids.

I've got somewhere between 30 and 50 pounds of halibut fillets in the freezer, so we'll log this weekend in the win column. :)

Back to work tonight ... I need a week or two of work to recover before the next fishing trip. o_O

 All goes well, certain it will. Do confirm which eye though ... seriously. ;)

I've noticed the latest generation culturally has a "just in time reactive" approach in general; that leads them to be slightly late whenever something doesn't go perfectly on schedule. I say this because I see it in the young airmen and NCOs I work with now. My generation would prepare and "brief" for aircraft arrivals NLT an hour prior to aircraft arrival (landing), nowadays it isn't unusual for them to wait until they are told the aircraft is 30 mins out.

... then when the aircraft lands early 15 mins later everyone is rushing to react. I don't know. :notsure: , but I find it irritating. :annoyed:

    Good Morning .....

Hope everyone had a fun holiday weekend !!!

Was a busy weekend for me , headed up the hill to friends house on Saturday for dinner . Sunday got up at 0 dark early and started my marathon day of auto racing . Watched in its entirety the F1 race in Monaco , Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600

Yesterday I went to watch the 2016 West Coast Thunder ride honoring the fallen Veterans then spent time at Riverside National cemetery placing coins on headstones

Well, I have done all I can. His final is at 10 and we will know if he graduates tomorrow or at the end of summer. What a crappy weekend. I was glad to live vicariously through all of you. :D

That went well! The grass hasn't been mowed since the 16th. We nearly lost one of our dogs yesterday. So....The first real test. Gonna cut grass. I fired up the old Cub Cadet and set out to mow ANYTHING I could get to with it. Ends up, maybe 20 minutes with a weed eater and it'll be just fine. A neighbor kid is coming over in a while to trim it for me. I feel fine. Not the first bit of discomfort. Call it a moral victory. Call it cutting the grass!

Now to feed 8 pets. They have it made.

A day ahead of schedule! With the grass cut, that leaves me with some FREE TIME tomorrow after work. Fishing poles are where now?????
