    They understand more than they let on when it comes to the furniture.
    My mother watches Archer when needed and he's not allowed on the furniture at her house. And he stays off it when he's there. Something about that motherly tone of voice that means business.

    They definitely do. During the day our 2 won't even think about getting on the couch. At night when they know we're sleeping they think it's fair game for a sleeping spot. If our 2 weren't 100+ pounds each we wouldn't have an issue with it. Those 2 would take up the whole couch if we let them.
