Finally got the new ones on. They even did an alignment! Gained a whopping 1/4 inch lift with a 200 pound shell on the back. Ride is much better; doesn't hop around turns, goes straight down the road.

Ok guys to give you an update ,got the final recall letter in, called Toyota of Rock Hill Sc to setup an appointment for today at 9 am, I also told them again {if look at my previous post}that I had a set of 2015 leaf springs and a helper springs installed a while back and I was putting the old leaf springs in the bed so they could use them as credit to get there money from Toyota. Their reply was no problem.Today I arrived 10 min.early and left them the truck, well an hour goes by and I received a call from David saying that my leaf springs were already upgraded because they had the 4 clips on them and he also stated they were modify because I installed the helper springs on them and they couldn't do anything. I told them they already knew that and they said no problem! I asked for the service manager and was finally transferred to him. I again explained to them about corporate calling and told them what I did by replacing them with a newer set but had the same issues of bottoming out, and they gave the go ahead to replace them.Next he told me that they would to take pictures of the modification and was waiting on a division manager to give them the go ahead.Next I made a call again to corporate and talked to their manager and informed them the runaround I was getting, she told me they are going at the pictures and decide what to do. I asked her ,the new leaf springs had a bigger arch so they want bottomed out ,correct? She said she wasn't sure. She ask if the modification I did was it easy to remove and told her it was 4 u-bolts and they come of. All I want is to do what they said they were going to do.by the way those leaf springs that are on the truck are weak and do bottom out with ease. Just a heads up about this dealer they lie!!! So I am in a holding pattern until they decide.

The original letter I got said certain models from 2005 to 2008. The second one went from 2005 to 2011. I don't think they would give you another set if you already had 2015's on there. The biggest sticky point with them was the cheesy 3 leaf/ 3 clip set up.

What gets me is that I was totally upfront with corporate and the dealership and explained to them that the springs were bottoming out , hitting the bump stops.my concern is that the springs were made of inferior metal or process and the new ones have a greater arch than the springs that on the truck.

The ones I just got don't have a whole lot of arch either. That's the way they make them. However, the 4 pack/ six clip is definitely a ride improvement over the disposable 3 pack 3clip.

Has anybody with the original 3 clip + 3 leaf setup been denied following the inspection?

Same answer I got from dealer in El Paso TX.
Hopefully sooner so I can get my bilstein 5100s, 885s, and AAL on right after getting new leafs in. Seemed pointless to spend all that time to put in my lift only to have them refuse to install it (although shocks, coils and misc would be done). Just didn't want them to find a reason not to replace leafs by blaming me on my lift.

Anyway I had dealer look at two different things which I didn't think was related. I had a deceleration rattling at 45-30 mph. They deduced the noise was from the leaf springs! I think I'm the only one with this diagnosis but if it gets me new leafs for free I'm not complaining. Also they found my timing cover was leaking so they suggested that get fixed. Happy they found that and that my EasyCare warranty will cover the work, all I have to pay is $250 deductible for a $1000 job. Anyone know what all is included in replacing timing cover gasket? They mentioned the valve cover gaskets so I guess those are changed too, anything else they will probably replace or check?

Picked my truck up Friday afternoon...initially the rear end felt far more firm and seemed promising, but my hopes were quickly dashed when my truck still bottomed out on relatively small dips in the neighborhood. The new packs still have the same crappy negative arch my old ones did.

That's not good. I'm OK so far with mine. They were a definite improvement over the weak azz three pack.

They are 5100's so I doubt it.

The new springs are unacceptable IMO!!, I went from sitting with significantly more rake than my TSB leafs immediately after install to settling more than an inch lower than my TSB springs with 85k miles on them in two days of it sitting in my garage!! Complete bull$hit!!! I now have some serious bro lean going on with just my 5100's set at 1.75", which had the truck sitting practically level (less than 1" of rake back to front) prior to this garbage being installed!! I can't believe Toyota drug this recall out for almost two years and these are the best they can do.....ridiculous!!! I would rather have my TSB spring packs back!!!

When it comes time for a new vehicle, I will give some other manufactures serious consideration before buying another Toyota product.

I plan to call corporate tomorrow to let them know just how disatisfied I am, but I doubt it will do any good.

my truck is there at the dealership. leaf springs swapped out already. i asked them to move my 1.5" Wheeler AAL's over and they complied.

i havent picked it up yet, but the shop manager said it looks exactly the same as when it went in. i bent a tie-rod, so i am having them make the swap since all this work includes an alignment.

i hope my rear end doesnt squat much..

They said they would install my aal and called me 3 hours later and said they were done but weren't allowed to reinstall my aal. So now I have the bro lean until I have time to put the aal back in
