I'm waiting on a set of ditch lights and behind the hood brackets, plus a 32.5" double stacked light bar from caliraised coming. Bar will go right under the grill.

Debating if I'll wire them to a single switch source or individually. Personally I prefer switches that fit into dead / blank spots so you still get a "factory" look with them. I have the premium tech package but I think there is still one dead spot my the map lights, then maybe the second could be down by the bed light switch to the left of the column...

Recommendations on if it'd be better to wire to deprecate switches? More control is always better it would seam.

First few mods, installed Toyota running boards, step hitch and raised reflective red letters. Aerospace 303 interior and cloth seats. I have a Gatortrax retractable cover ordered..... Hoping to get the TRD wheels from Dustin at FN Wheels in the next week...plus other things....will update as installed.

I should get some pictures, but I installed the python 5706p remote start alarm sunday. It was relatively straight forward, but I took my time and tried to clean everything up as I went (avoiding as much of a rat's nest as I could with 40+ wires to manage between the alarm brain and DBALL interface module). I also ran door lock/unlock wires from the alarm to the rear of the truck to install a lock actuator on the tailgate. I've got a push to start on the truck (its a TRD OR model with the prem/tech package), and I hate having the separate key for the tailgate, so I'm hoping this with overcome the need for that key in general. Between the locked tailgate and the OEM bed cover I'll be comfortable leaving stuff in the bed.

Nope, DEI points out quite clearly in all their alarm and interface instructions that there is no handover on push to start toyota vehicles. All the interface module does is mimic the OEM remote start function, which kills the engine when a door is opened. Not my favorite feature, but I like the range of the alarm and will use the remote start often in the heat of texas summers (even with the crappy handover).

If you want a clean handover, get a model without the PTS. ;-)

So, planning my first full day off road adventure with a buddy and our wives a couple weeks from now. I knew we'd need to bring some shade for meals, so I got a 12x12 shade canopy to bring with us. It doesn't fit in the short bed with my tire mounted against the front bed wall, so it was time to innovate! 2 1x2's plus 2 48" angle steel, plus a handful of stainless hardware. I'm driving around today to test stability and movement, but so far so good. I think if it proves successful, I'll get some web tie down straps and make some dedicated tie downs for it, but for now 4 bungees seem to be doing the trick.
