I decided to keep the factory spare tire and wheel...as it will be for temporary use in the event of a flat.

It should fit fine, but depending on tire size it could require a mod. I don't think it's uncommon. I'm deciding between a bed mount or a mount that swings out at the rear bumper.

Found this thread, it has some good info

    Too many to list...
No shuddering or vibration issues with mine... have the c-rated 265/70/17 ko2s. Had them on stock sport wheels and now the trd pros. both perfectly smooth.

it seems not but I'm hoping this is it for me. The only think left would be a lift and with not
going off road and my ride never being the same after I lift, I said screw it this time. I'm already
in it for almost 4k in after market parts and it's not even a year old! :D

Sounds familiar! I don't do enough wheeling to warrant any lift. Just back roads and the tires are more than enough for that. It just looks cool. Lol. I did a mild lift on my Tundra to make up for the Ranch Hand I put on it so it didn't bang on the ground. But that was it.

Between the exhaust, sound system, wheels, tires, and tonneau cover I think I sunk 5K in it in 6 months. I'm doing a self-imposed intervention for my own well being. Nothing else on my list though so I should be good.

Hoping for at least 5 years if not 10 from her depending where life leads me. Should fit car seats if/when needed and that's a long ways down the road for me.

Sitting at discount tire getting them balanced once again. This time the manager is going to do it. So hopefully it gets done right this time or they find a bad tire.

Yup. 17" TRD Pro 4Runner wheels (actually saw them on a TRD Pro 4Runner yesterday going though a drive thru) and 265-70-17 BFG AT TA KO2s. They found that 3 out of 4 tires weren't quite straight. And 1 will probably need to be replaced. The other two they are trying to straighten out and road force balance using the Toyota adapter plate too. Should get me fixed up.

damn! We'll have the same setup... Hoping for better on mine that are due in Thurs.

How can they "try and straighten" it? Wouldn't be easier/better getting it replaced?

Just kidding. Ends up they realized that they put the E rated (10 ply) tires on instead of the 6 ply load C tires. Derp. I didn't even think to check that but it did feel a bit stiffer than I thought. Considering I was able to get 18.7 MPG average on my last tank with E rated tires doesn't seem that bad!

So I will be getting all new tires after all! Let's just hope these are all manufactured properly and can be balanced right this time. Lucky for me I have the day off due to memorial day with our office closed on Monday. First two day weekend I've had in months!

Best of luck to you though. It seems like most have been fine, I just have some bad luck. Runs in the family

I'll update later with how it goes. Fingers crossed it all works out the first time this time.

oh ok! just the tires were out of wack. Mine have been on the stock wheels running perfect
for the last 2k miles so I should be good.

    sure man.

19-23 is the avg. I'm at 5200 miles now with lots of stop-n-go highway
travel and about 40% city, so not bad at all.

Awesome, I am at 7900 miles and have been averaging 21-22 on commute with mostly city. I haven't tested with new tires yet since working from home today. Do you think 34 cold is decent, they should get up to 37 hot in florida?

mine usually go to 32/33 when it's cold here in Va. and then back up
to around 36/37 as it heats up outside.

Update. Got the right tires on (load C) and properly road force balanced with the Toyota adapter plate for the wheels and it's smooth as can be from what I can tell. Steering wheel shake seems gone and the passenger seat no longer wobbles. Tested up to 75 on the highway, more like 77.5 adjusted for the tire size change anyway.

Much happier now. Smoother ride too and the truck feels much lighter on its feet moving around and turning. I could immediately tell the difference.

Still have to go back tomorrow though since the guy managed to break a TPMS sensor and had to order one since it's so new. Bit of a fail there. But oh well. Happy for now.

    Love seeing everyone else's setup.
