I think you're over reading into a figure of speech there just a little.

These players do go over tape after the game. He would of done some relearning from the assistant coach after that game I'm sure.

 

It's wrong for players not to take responsibility for their errors.

Diving in front of a slapshot is crazy. Especially considering that if the shooter double cocks you could end up with a puck in the face, as we have seen. Blocking shots whil upright is a skill, and I have always found it natural to do so.

I agree there appears to be more and more sacrifice in pro sports. That said i would imagine that the guy making the apparent sacrifice has a strong intuitive sense that he is well calculated...until the puck hits him in the face ...lol

 

Well, that was just an example. I've taken them for free. I was just saying it's impressive at how they do sacrifice like that.

 

It would help if players would start wearing their visors as, well, eye protection and not like it's a baseball cap lid.

When you think about it, it wasn't that long ago when they didn't wear helmets at all! How about back in the day and the goalie didn't even wear any type of mask. Insane!
