I don't think anyone has asked, but how many miles did you put on the truck before the level was filled to spec?

3 qts low!? I'm baffled, according to the TIS online service manual the whole oil pan sub assembly should hold less than3 qts...Definitely something's not right with either the tech findings or at the factory.
And I don't see how it would run without seriously noticeable issues or at all with no oil in the pan...
This is very, very interesting huh!

It took 3 quarts or they charged for 3 quarts? 2.1 quarts would require 3 quarts.
    Even, still....that's a lot.

I've been told to go jump off a cliff with my complaints directly to Toyota. They said they didn't give a crap "what an online blog or forum" says about the issue, despite me bringing in for service based on symptoms that I experienced and were detailed here and elsewhere, that the dealership proved were real and filled the fluid accordingly. I was very polite up until I basically got the "get f*cked" treatment. My dealership is awesome but Toyota is killing me here. The dealership is going, supposedly, to try and advocate on my behalf for an extension of warranty.

When I called and filed a case, I felt the same way, like I was
being told "fuck you and your issues, we really don't care". By the
end of the call, I clearly let them know I felt the same way about them
as they did my issues. :D

My differential and trans were both low. Toyota Customer care basically laughed when I asked about an extended warranty. They assured me that if anything happens 6 or 8 years and 100k miles down the road that "warranty or not" my case was now documented and that Toyota would stand by their product to make sure I got the care I deserved..... o_O Yeah right.

I don't blame you man, complete bullshit. This is my 3rd taco but the first time in dealing
with Corp. and I must say - they suck a big bag of dicks. I understand the issues with a new
vehicle with a bunch of new features but the process in which they deal with them or even
act like they remotely care about their customers is pathetic at best.

I've had to swear off VW as a car I'd ever purchase again, I guess I'll have to do the same for Toyota, I don't enjoy being treated this way and will vote with my wallet. I have a bunch of buddies that love my Taco and I'm telling them to avoid.

It sucks you didn't get one. I got a pretty sweet one. I'd still take the non vibrating/ non-multiple issue truck instead.

Were you a dick to the corporate rep?
