IF they move, the players just need to start speaking french and talking about succession and they'll have all the support they need.

 

Once you get outside of the tourist areas of Quebec City... yeah you don't speak a lot of english. Montreal you can speak English the whole time and no one, except the odd crazy, seems to care.

What do you expect from a bandwagon community ? ... Las Vegas would be just as bad when the novelty wears off.

 

True, people go to Vegas to gamble and see shows. Hockey isn't really "touristy" and that's what Vegas is about.

It's crazy that Seattle doesn't have a team and sounds like can't have a team.

 

I go to Vegas occasionally. I would totally go to a hockey game while there. If it worked out. I have zero interest in gambling. But I have a ton of fun while I'm there. Something for everyone - and now hockey will be added to that list.

 

Just reading that Brown has been stripped of his captaincy in LA. I don't understand how that guy has been a Captain for the past 8 years. Nothing about him screams "Leadership" to me. Look at him compared to the 2 captains playing in the SCF, and what they mean to their respective teams.

There are too many other good players on that team who are more deserving, and the 2 cups they won weren't because he was "leading" them. It should go to Kopitar or Doughty I think, and should have a while ago.

 

I am not a vegas guy, personally. I drove through and down the strip once while on a road trip. That was enough for me. That said, I know a ton of folks who make regular flights down there to do whatever people do there. No doubt in my mind a lot of people would time their trips down in order to take in a Jets game when they pass through. I imagine that would be a common thing for a lot of northern climate hockey fans to do.

If your head ever gets wedged out of whatever Pollock anus it's stuck in, take a look at why Brown was first made team captain. That might help, then again it might notski.

 

It's very similar to 'Yotes games. I have several friends with places down in Phoenix. They always hit up the Oilers and flames games. Often times, when either of those two teams are playing there, and they score a goal, you almost think it's a home game - with the crowd cheering.
I know I'll be going to NHL games in Vegas - given the opportunity.
