Can someone tell me what is the actual weight of an all-pro front bumper for an 09 Tacoma? Shockworks lists theirs at 138 lbs. I am looking for something in case of deer encounters but I don’t want to mess with my stock front suspension or add too much weight. Does anyone know if the all-pro bumper is street legal in PA.?

It won't much matter which aftermarket bumper you get, because it will def. weigh more than the stock bumper. And considering you have the V6 there is already a fair amount of weight up front. you may be ok for a while, but your coils will fade much faster with the extra weight.

    I got this from hunter4x4.com

It wont keep the front end totally protected, but it will help. I would say it only weighs about 50 lbs. I had a simular push bar on my last truck and hit a deer about 40 mph dead on. saved my front end, only the driver side fender got dented. But it was a instint kill and if not for the push bar my truck probably would of been totalled. Thats why i put this and nerf bars on right away.

I've considered doing this very thing for the same reason. Not just deer though, any number of possible incidents. Probably never will get around to it though.

That only works if you shoot it before it runs out in front of you.

I found this one on the internet out of Del Rio Texas, made by Arc Rite. All welded tube. You can really tell the difference between this one and the other ones. These guys have them in stock in a couple different styles and in chrome. $500 dollars for the grille guard and $100 for shipping well worth it. The packaging protecting it during shipping took me every bit of 30 minutes to remove. I highly recommend them, yet to have to try it out but have no doubts it will stand up to the task

Don't buy a Westin Ultimate bull bar for deer protection. I havent had a chance to try mine out on a deer, yet :D but mine is mainly for looks and would help very little at speeds over 40, the mounting points dont look very strong.

Dont want to ruin your thoughts, but I've seen photos on here of Tacomas with bull bars, sustain alot of damage because of the bull bar being pushed into the front of the truck. Do some searchin, they look cool but......
