I just got my AFR gauge and URD y-pipe installed over the weekend. Thanks to @jaunitoBunito for answering all my questions.

With afe CAI, URD y-pipe I'm seeing about 14.8-15 idle and normal driving and at WOT 13.8-14 AFR's. Truck was flashed last Nov. It seems that I'm getting less rich readings than others with the TRD flash. Think the flash might've been refined/changed recently or could the CAI leaned it out a little??

Yeah that's pretty lean, never heard of the reflash being so lean. Usually its rich or just barely rich

Mines a 2009... I have always been able to read and clear codes. Sounds like a rather similar situation. I doubt it'll be covered under warranty though. Too many miles on my truck. Plus I'm missing rock therapy because of this.

My scangauge worked with it fine and could read/clear codes but techstream and the ECU didn't get along. Hopefully you can find one in a junkyard or something.

You have to plug the Bully dog in to the OBD port to get it to read right? It wouldn't be out of place to suggest that their plug bent your pins and then fucked up the communication between ECU's when it tried to talk to them with whatever was left. Hopefully this doesn't cause you even more issues in the future.

Yes Bully Dog plugs into the obd port, so does my bluetooth diagnostic code reader. My reader never had trouble reading realtime data or clearing codes etc and both plugged in without any problems or difficulty. It isn't like i'm hammering them in, they always push in nice and easy. should have more info at the end of the night

Yeah thats what I was thinking too. Any suggestions to richen the AFR's up aside from reflashing? I'm guessing the gauge might be off slightly since its speedhut reading from AEM Uego. Plus the sensor is also downstream on passenger side.

I had my wideband post catalytic converter for a few weeks while I was waiting for my exhaust. Afr differences were negligible

If anyone wants a CAI and is willing to pay some shipping I'm going to be selling mine soon. I'm going to a snorkel and in the interests of making things easy I'm rolling back to stock with the AFe prodry filter.

I ended up switching to the URD CAI from my AFE CAI just to fit an engine crossbrace. Thinking on modifying/cutting in the bend in the engine bay to add an exhaust cutout and run a Snorkel up with tubing as well. that way I run both unless I'm about to get hit with water or crazy dust and then run through the snorkel

Yeah its weird cause ever since the reflash, my exhaust is always covered in soot from unburned gas. Never like that before. Not sure about the accuracy of my speedhut gauges. The boost gauge was so off I had to send back to them for recal. Now wondering if my AFR is the same

You are missing what I'm saying. I'm saying that plugging in the Bully Dog did the damage. Even if you inserted it gently it could bend pins if it wasn't designed correctly.

No blame on you. Your code reader only needs access to one module so it may still work after the Bully Dog damage, if that's what happened.

Meh, I'm not in the quest for the most HP ever. I'm actually happy now with the stock S/C and I'm probably going to roll back to stock exhaust as well. Maybe I'll do the headers at some point and maybe a pulley, but that's it.

Agreed. I'm hoping they can just take the obd apart and bend the pins back to get the ecu to squawk like it should. The quote to get the ecu replaced isn't pretty. But if the ecu was bad, shouldn't it throw a bad ecu code?

Intake swap wasn't for HP, it was because the AFE box was in the way of the Engine crossbrace. Snorkel idea is just for shits n giggles if I ever have to cross water.

I've found water in the bottom of my airbox after going offroad. Getting a snorkel is a real need for me.

Shit, I have to make a water crossing to get to work some days where the water is up to my floor boards, for 2 patches of about 100 feet.

I run both speedhut boost and wodeband gauges. I am using a PlX wideband controle module with a Bosch sensor. Most the time at idle or cruise i see between 14.5-15.0, when i dig into the power im seeing 11.0-11.3 with a 2.825 pully and no FPR mod at 75F air temps. With the mod im bottoming out at the 10.5 or less depending on ambient air. Also im at sea level.
