I was thinking more of just jumping on the rails when traffic was bad. But I would obviously get arrested or killed by a freight train fairy quick.

Yeah it's for the Napa train in Saint Helena, but SH is broke! They are on the brink of bankruptcy. They are a good example of what happens when you are so stuck in your ways that commerce passes you by.

4:30PM and the USPS delivery has not shown. They have my superbumps, this whole transaction has been absolutely terrible from start to finish.

Im on my time now, been off for over an hour waiting for this dick at a commercial business address. No wonder its a dying company.

Oh really, I had no idea. I guess they aren't selling enough wine barrel rocking chairs and over-priced olive oil on main street, eh?

Yeah, long story short, they didn't want any hotels in the area. The county passed a 1% on lodging on the total customers bill, where 25% of that went back to the city. Well Calistoga and everyone else allowed them to build, and it turns out it's quite a bit of revenue in a ritzy area. Now SH can't ask them to build them fast enough.

I know this question has been asked in here before (I have actually seen it, but didn't save the info), but who has affordable pricing on powder coating in the Bay Area for rock sliders?

I'd spray them myself, but I don't really have the time right now.

TBH bro, it shouldn't take more than an hour to do them. Throw a coat or two of primer on, same with the base coat and then just add a coat once a week or so. If you scratch them, its an easy clean up!

Don't think I asked before. I have called several locally and the best quote so far is $250 for the pair.
i'll probably end up doing them myself.

    Justin,

If you want cheap and decent(since they're just sliders) try Leon's Powder Coating in Oakland. They typically take 3-5 days and might run you about $120-140. As long as you don't expect them to be mint, they're a good option. Cash talks with them.

If you want something with better quality, check out Melrose Finishing and Painting also in Oakland. They often do better prep, but overall their prices will be higher, but you'll get what you pay for.

If you want the absolute best finish possible, go to Maas Brothers in Livermore, but you'll pay a huge premium for their service. It'll make you want to hang your sliders on the wall:D.

There you go. Cheap, good, and best so take your pick:thumbsup:.
