Here's a gopro clip of the Lookout Trail in Rohwer Flats from Saturday.

This is the most difficult part of the climb.

Not an amazing video but I think you can get an idea of the trail.

Nice! Looks steep. Was the right side more difficult than the left or vice-versa? Wish I could've stuck around to do that with you guys, I'll catch it on the big Rowher meet next month (if not sooner). After yesterday's adventure I've told myself I'm taking a hiatus to avoid any more $$$$ in trail damage lol. But we'll see how long that lasts.

Taking my truck into Toyota tomorrow since I have a 60k warranty on it, hoping I can get whatever's wrong covered....I washed it well to hide the fact that I was romping around off-road yesterday lol.

You guys did awesome yesterday by the way. Definitely can see the difficulty in those videos. Other than the damages congrats

Thanks man! If I can get whatever it is covered by Toyota tomorrow I'll be good for the OC meet this weekend, but if it isn't covered I'll have to take it into a local shop for repairs instead which would have to wait until Saturday/Sunday.

I did look-out with @Sandtaco last month, I remember him saying the left side is harder actually. it definitely looks a lot harder though.

The left side looks really crazy! @Sandtaco made it seem like it shouldn't even be considered as a route. haha

The right side is rough but I made it no problem. I never even scoped out the other lane. Made it to the top with @Mike likes Tacos and then found out @Kilika1184 had gotten stuck.

Good luck with getting your truck fixed! I feel like I've been on a walk of shame driving around with a bumper that looks like I backed in to a pole. :annoyed:

Cool video, you make that look real easy.

The left side looks really gnarly in person. I read a trail report about a guy in a Jeep that had 35's and front and rear lockers that had to back down and go right.

I will try it if I see someone else make it in a Taco.

    Ryan,

Have you tried to removed your skids and take a good look under the truck?

Also try and reproduce the sound with the skids off.

Don't feel bad check out some of these other videos with carnage on that (MJT)obstacle.

Skip to 8 minutes, they really piled up the boulders to get over it after the first fail, and like the old timers said it is worse this year.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0Zu9HKxsXo

Some real carnage on this video, if I would of seen this before we went I would of pussied out. start at 4 minutes in.

    Then there's this...lol.

I haven't but I'm 99% sure it's a tranny issue, the truck wants to stall more easily off the line and there's more vibration in the floor at certain RPMs

    :luvya: haha ;)

Looks like you guys had an awesome time at Rowher! I ended up heading to the silverwood lake area and taking the easy route through cleghorn and pilot rock. Aired down to 25psig and cruised over all the terrain. Wasn't sure how low I can get em before I knock the bead off though... Man this little taco is incredible! I look forward to meeting up and hitting some trails with you guys in the future! Time to armor up :)

DSC_0002.jpg DSC_0016.jpg IMG_4431.jpg So I was super bummed that I couldn't do Miller with you guys on Memorial day so I grabbed a few buddies and hit it today. Honestly so much fun and the truck did surprisingly well. We only really had trouble at one spot towards the end (I think where @MADSTEEZE hit his bumper), but I had my buddies give me a little push up haha). I was just pretty stoked to make it up without any damage!

Nice! Yeah your lift and shorter/narrower 1st gen wheelbase is ideal for that trail.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
You can air down pretty good if you're going slow you shouldn't knock the bead without lateral pressure on the tire. Shit happens, yes, but you should be fine down to like 15psi pretty easily. In stuff like you see here it's important to remember you're "crawling" for a reason. It's "rock crawling" not "rock baja speed racer."

If you love what that truck does now: wait until we have you on 2 wheels all stock setup. Then you'll either hate us or love us.

Don't you just love when they can't film? I have the same problem with my friends lol. I have the added issue of getting some of the content off his snapchat after he's put stupid captions on it lol. At least they gave a good laugh and help pushed

One thing I'm thinking based on what you guys have been saying is maybe I'd have a little easier of a time on this run with my 4runner. All 4runner/Tacoma jokes aside, (@digitaLbraVo knows what I'm talking about) I have a shorter wheel base than the access cab 1st gens and a little more weight in the back. What do you guys think?

You'd be fine, 2nd gen 4 runners have like the highest stock clearance ever. Just bring some straps for the like 2 harder spots
