They look cool, but get rid of that lock ASAP, those are identical to the TSA luggage locks i deal with at work and can be opened by any idiot in about 30 seconds or less

Not sure what you mean about the drone sound?? That deep humming sound?? I get a constant low hum sound right about 1.5k rpm... I like it :D If i keep it right there i get the best MPG numbers. I use the exhaust sound to help control my fuel economy. I have heard some people get vibrations in their truck from their exhausts... I dont get any vibrations or rattling from my exhaust though.

The 40 series is pretty loud honestly, my wife thinks its TOO loud. But i love it. You can hear it in the cab almost constantly, even with the radio on low volume and windows up. Its not so loud you cant have a conversation with the passengers though.

You got guts sir! I've been throwing around the idea of a snorkel (mainly for the dusty trails in AZ and looks) when they come available for 3rd gen. That will be the only mod I have somebody else install because I don't have the guts to drill into my fender or A post!

Had my 2011 STi for 14 months before cluing back in that I am just not a car guy when it comes to a daily driver. Though, that car was a whole pile of fun.

This is happening today. Hopefully can have them check out this mysterious seatbelt sensor in the passenger seat...

I know it's scary... make a hole in the roof... but with the right tools, it's the best choice for a everyday use. The ground plane is optimal and visually, it gives a low profile & discreet look.

I had the same setup for 6 years on my old truck (GMC Canyon), when I sold it to the dealer, he even told me for the hole. Never rust or water infiltration problem after six years and harsh winters in my area of Quebec (many abrasives for snow/ice on the roads). It was like the first day I did the hole.

With time, the lip or magnetic base mounts do more damage to the bodywork.

I'm thinking Toyota sells those same plans to dealerships, because I'd swear that was the service/parts building for Autonation (formerly Champion) Toyota of Austin.

Somebody a while back got one of theses to successfully program to their Highlander...Perhaps I'll dive into trying to see if it works for our trucks. The FCC-ID numbers match up, so it should be as simple as getting someone with Techstream to see if they can program it. It doesn't have any buttons, but it functions just the same as your fob for lock/unlock....and it stays in the wallet! (Push to start only, obviously)photo 1.jpg

I have been waiting for someone smarter than me to do this! I have been using my regular smart key in my wallet for now, but would rather get rid of that bulge.

You are right. At fist glance it looked like Irvine.

It is Glendora. Real close to me. Mysterious seatbelt sensor fixed, just needed to be 're-calibrated' according to them. Cost: $0 so I'm happy with that and a free ride.
