What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Put on a set of 255/17R17's on my stock suspension. E rated Cooper AT3s based on reviews seemed the way to go. I found a good deal on a used set so I thought I would try them out before I spent the money on a new set of them.

 

I wonder how well it will hold up. Please report back. I wipe down the tire with soap and water when washing the wheels. Curious if I would need to apply everytime after or not.

Just ordered aerotech 2525XL muffler. Upgrade from my off brand flow master 40 series. Will also be doing the exhaust reroute when it's installed.

 

not everyone has the same rubbing issues. I've seen people running 285s on a 3" lift with indeed, zero rubbing.

 

And ive seen people have to absolutely mutilate the cab mount and pinch weld.

I always wonder, how safe is it to roll around with a chopped cab mount and no fill plate?

 

I wonder the same thing. I guess pretty safe until you flex the tire into the most-likely sharp, jagged cab mount.

 

Had my buddy spend a day doing the clay bar, opti-coat, paint restore CQuartz, blah blah blah...on my little bitch. Then drove her to get a few yards of gravel for the backyard.

I doubt it. It should adhere to the rubber pretty well. Only time I'd suspect you would need to reapply would be if you scuffed the tire. I will be doing this when I get my wheels and tires later in the year.
