Also. There's the strand. It's like an older, nicer part of Galveston. It has the train museum down there, along with lots of shops and bars.

 

I like museums. ill have to check that out too.

 

Google the name of those places. See if any of them peak your interest.

Not sure where you live-- but this BMX track is holding the world championships, next year. I live close by. They also have a Velodrome there.

Saint Arnold, Karbach, 8th Wonder, Buffalo Bayou, Southern Star, B52, Lone Pint, Brash, No Label, Town in City. All breweries near or around Houston.

 

well now I have a list of different places to give a try! sorry, I only have one texas friend and she is a die hard shiner fan. me? not so much.

 

Shiner is some good stuff. I wish I could get some of their smaller batch brews here. I love their Dortmunder

 

haven't tried the Dortmunder yet. if I see it I may give it a shot.

 

Sweet. The Riverwalk neighborhood in Rock Hill has the BMX track, a Velodrom, biking/walking trails along the river, and now a restaurant/brewery called Pumphouse- built into an actual old pumphouse. I can even Kayak there, easily from where I live.
