I don't recall seeing that green color before. Is that the new standard shasta model, not the summit?

 

It's just the standard model. I saw the color option when I was ordering and though it looked good.

Not sure what you mean? They all come with the side doors.

 

Should have been more specific. Yes, annex door. I presently have tepui with annex door in front of ladder.

 

My CVT has doors on all four sides of the annex.

 

Windows on either side for the tepui. Have been in some awkward/tight campsites where door on the side would have been pref to stepping into the scrub/willows after an evening of drinking.

My Mt Shasta Extended Stargazer came in today it's AWESOME! What is the extra black band of material for? It's the same stuff that the cover is made out of but has Velcro in a few places? Is it supposed to go on before the cover, is it an extension of some sorts? Also Mine came with a spreader bar for the annex.



Will post some pictures of it open in a week or so!

 

@Box Rocket and @Cascadia Tents, do either companies sell patches for the covers? I got a small rip in mine that doesn't really warrant an entire new cover, but I would like to patch it.

If not, to the rest of this crew, do ya'll think a typical patch like for an air mattress or something would suffice?

 

PVC patch kit for inflatable boat?

 

We use stuff called Tear Aid tape. It works really well for sealing tears. We use it in poly bags that hold water and it doesn't leak through. You do have to put the tape on both sides of the hole though.

I can't find the exact stuff we use at work since its commercial but worth looking into.

 

Both great suggestions. I'll look into it. @velillen your suggestion seems perfect and something both tepui and cascadia could start to offer. Tape seems the best since it would be pliable.
