Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
It's a good soft spot to get covered up, an easy one to accidentally lay the truck down on, too. "Nice" part about pulling all the plastic off the front/rear end is you can replace it with a proper bumper, but rocker panels and doors not so much...

Did you post any pictures of your truck after the dipping?

Well, maybe after he checks those floor mats and makes sure they don't move again

Yeah there were a few from the MJ trail on Monday, I learned a thing or two about plasti dip. For instance, if you aren't careful when removing the masking tap for the overspray, you'll end up peeling off half of your hard work. I did a few coats but there are some spots I need to hit again, but I like it a lot more than the chrome

Looks way better than chrome  Mine has held up great. Just made sure I got it on real good at edges and wrapped it to the inside of the grill.

I second this. I would get sliders and skids before throwin all the money at the lift. I need a mid skid and transfer case skid real bad. Top of my list right now. But people charge an arm and a leg for a piece of bent metal so I may design em and have them made by one of the steel contractors I work with. I'll let the 2nd gen guys know if I go this route in case they need one too.

Man!!!! Lead times on aftermarket parts are ridiculous!

Everything is somewhere between 6 weeks and 6 months!

    Major bummer...

Anyone know if an ARB locker is currently available for my truck? I haven't been able to find anything clearly labeled for 2016 Tacoma.

Also, where would I have that installed? Locker, compressor, wiring, and air lines. Probably not going to be cheap.

Also need to get sliders and a rear bumper. Skids too! :annoyed:

Yeah I'll look at armor first. I don't mind sitting at stock height, even when I do lift I don't want to do more than maybe a couple inches. So sliders are a must.

I have a friend who's a great welder, so I'll save on installation. Any recommendations on first gen sliders? @quetzal @Jimmynolife @SlipperyTaco

A few places I've checked stopped making them for first gens due to lower demand

edit: @BAMFTACO I like the looks (and price) of the Trail Gear sliders you mentioned up above, think I might go that route

I'd go locker last, any shop that specializes in offroading should be able to install one for you.

    Yup, he did mine.

    Locker for sure.

And the other stuff. Skids might be last after sliders and bumper. My bumper looks like shit!

I'd worry about doing lockers last depending on what route your going with your truck. Once you get some better all terrains and air down you'd be surprised what you can do.

Adding armor and bigger tires might as well regear and do lockers around the same time
I highly suggest yotamasters in Corona great customer service and warranty.

I went down on a Saturday morning and he put them on, not an ounce of traffic there or back. He made them over a few week period and texted me when they were done.

Order that I followed based on TW feedback and I would not change a thing. Get the sliders before you go out again.

    1. Lift - KOs2 33s with 5100 and 887
    2. Sliders (DeMello offroad)
    3. Icon rear AAL to lift my tail
    4. IFS and other skids (Pelfreybuilt)

DeMello Offroad is having a BBQ sale on Jun 4th. 20%+ sale of what ever is in stock. Give them a call and they can probably install sliders for you. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/demello-bbq.433955/

Here is a link to the DeMello slider page http://www.demello-offroad.com/shop/catalog/index.php?cPath=27_21
