June 10th-June 12th Camping/Offroad Trip to PISMO

This time of year, probably highs of 85*, and lows of 50*. Should be nice out.

 

Hollister is usually pretty nice, although probably a bit hot these days. But the nights get a little chilly some days. Pismo always has good weather but that beach wind sucks ass sometimes too!

 

Thing is I'd rather break parts than dent ding and damage body parts, I don't want my truck looking horrible.

If it help, there was no damage sustained after my dad got though that obstacle.

I love adventure myself, but I prefer to explore the wilderness at higher speeds.

We are all searching for adventure, it's just that one of us will reach the destination a little faster than the other.

 

@12TRDTacoma Rob, again, what have you dinged or scratched at Hollister? You get more sand rash up the sides of your truck at Pismo than you do get bush scratches or dents at Hollister.

Sand is also much rougher on the paint. At high speed, it's like sandpaper.

 

Weeeeelll, I have to take Rob's side in this one lol, I'd rather go fast as shit around the mountain than go over it slowly lol

Ive scratched the hell out of my roof fenders and doors there. It's not like it's not unbuffable, but I'd rather just not deal with it is all. No visible sand damage that I have seen. Of course the fact we are by ocean salt makes for a rusty frame quicker, so there is that small caveat.

Then you suck at offroading lol! Ive never gotten a scratch at hollister that didnt disappear the first time I got a car wash. And yeah, you have pitting in your bedsides I bet, and yeah that salt sucks, but it is what it is.
