Now that I've taken the truck out on dirt trails more I'm def thinking of approach angle more. I am new to owning a truck so I'm learning as a go along, so glad I made the switch. I noticed these brush guards hang about as low as the air dam (Which I removed and don't like) so that gives me something to think about if I am seriously considering one of these brush guards, as well as front end damage issues. Still interested in seeing what else they comes out with.

And I think were done here... no brush guard for me..............meh

.......that def looks way worse than it did in my mind...

and that has to cut your approach angle in half... meh

Seems lower because it goes around the new bumper so much
Prob looks a lot better on a lifted Tacoma where you wouldn't be sacrificing your approach angle at all

Still think this looks way cool... guess its got to be lifted to make sense

Looks like they had to cut your bumper cover and part of the lower part is popped out as well

Actually I don't think this is your truck. Correct?

I have had at least a few people tell me that they won't love me if I put bull bars on too lol. I want one for hunting, just to keep grass and shit off my bumper. I have not ordered one yet, but just so you know take a look at this thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bull-bar-recommendations.428006/#post-12286146

The reason I haven't ordered mine yet is the angles of all the ones I have seen. They are still generic for the third gens and do not hug the contour of the front end at all. They come out really far and then go straight up because of the steep lines on the underside for clearance. I don't think they look really terrible, but they will absolutely destroy your approach angle, so good luck hunting or off roading. As someone else said, just wait awhile. The market will soon be flooded with tons of options for the 2016's. That's what I'm waiting for.

very true, I got this brush guard for $60 and I'm going to see about welding up some flush mount or as flush as possible mounting brackets for it. Also chop a big chunk out of it where the chin on the taco will fit in. if it goes bad Ill throw it away, main problem is these things are heavy and the taco is lacking for good places to bolt them to. the chin kills a lot of your options.

def not turning the sawzall on my brand new truck, haha, but this brush guard might be getting a major overhaul, or trashed, either way its a project to fool around with
