    A couple inches lower than the roof. If you're doing a RTT, I would suggest the mid height. If you want to put kayaks on it, I'd go tall.

    Thinking about versatility... how difficult would a removable attachment that would allow for things like ladders and kayak's to clear the top be to fabricate... I think I'd get more use out of the mid height, but once in a while moving kayak's would be a pain with those.. ideas?

    Bolting a simple kayak rack to the top will make them clear the roof:

    As for ladders, my buddy carries a 35 foot extension ladder on his every day. He just bolted a pressure treated piece of 4x4 to the top for extra clearance.
