    theyre both on a network...and the files on the old computer are shared...i just cant find them on the new computer yet

    moving the HD is out of the question as Sony makes their components only fit in Vaios...

    Yeah, I had to do that before I had an external hard drive and needed to format my machine. It was a mighty stack of DVDs since I can't seem to part with my 3D renderings that I created in college...

    my problem is that my dvd and cd burners have both crapped out...part of why i got a new computer...

    and im usually pretty good with this stuff but im having trouble finding what i need on win 7
