I fully agree. Craigslist never has anything in my area and the junkyards buy them but the parts go real quick.

I'd like to see it if you decide to build one. I say go for it and use pressure treated for sure.

Ill be sure to post a build if i do it. This is the type of timber i would use. Extremely strong.

    329fc82f6c1d6eb53783629faba008e4_583cf133518f1c140562265d2ee1af1a3990b21d.jpg

It would be mounted then the holes and such would be epoxy filled and sanded.

Haha thanks dude. I actually was just given 25 feet of 5x5 angle iron and I'm gonna try and do something with that first. There should be enough left over for a rear bumper as well.

I'd say try it out! That timber would be extremely strong. I'll bet in a slow impact that would dent or bend a steel plate bumper, the wooden one would just bounce back.

No need to do something ghetto. I'm looking online at Spauldings wrecking yard (just because its the largest one near me with a web site) and a chrome front bumper assembly is only $109. They have eleven of them. Just be patient and one will turn up in your area.

Just a thought....bumpers are supposed to be expendable. They are connected to your frame, so the tougher the wood, the more impact I would assume on your frame. Thus, potentially fucking the frame to an unfuckable status.

TW doesnt work on there anymore. They dropped it because Tapatalk was messaging people acting as other people without their knowledge. If that makes sense.

Congrats on your new addition!....FYI you can buy a brand new aftermarket one off eBay for $150. If that's more in your price range?...If interested there is also a blinker relocation mod that puts your blinkers in your side marker housing's. I can find the link if you are interested.
