I used rust oleum enamel on the sliders and frankly, it sucks. I used PJ1 epoxy on my skid plate and the slider brackets, and it's awesome. Wipe down the metal and lay down a couple coats. No primer needed

Just picked these bad boys up today! I thought they would fit under the tonneau cover but they didn't with the bracket sticking up so I had to take it off.

    IMG_20160601_161337.jpg

As you can see, the pallet was totally hashed! Can't believe how badly they treated this thing:

    IMG_20160601_202425.jpg

However, the sliders look absolutely perfect! Going to put them on this Saturday when I can get my brother to come help with the heavy lifting. Can't wait!

Yep, wanted them straight out so it's easier for the twins (6 years old) to get in by themselves. Will post pics after I install them on Saturday.

Tested my Mobtown sliders on miller jeep trail Memorial day. I really wish I would of just painted them now, and not wasted the money on powder coat.

    Sliders are bad ass!

I ended up getting these installed today with help.

Although I'm glad I had them linex'ed this is what made them 10x harder to install. I would not have them linex covered again if I had to redo this decision. I'll post more pics later.

More pics, definitely worth it. Big tip is to shine a light up the boxed part of the frame with a friend to get those bolts in. Also, these are set at 0 degrees to be used at steps, the most solid steps in the world that will protect against door dings!!!!

    Actually I don't have a build thread.

Maybe I will start one when I get my rear bumper and front locker installed.

What are you waiting for? It's just money, can't take it with you when you're dead.

Help! Trying to get these installed today, but this hole to install the L bracket just doesn't line up. Everything else lines up perfectly, though we had a heck of a time getting the long-handled washer installed. What should I do?

Can you take a screw drive to use as a lever and get it closer?

Why did Line-x make these harder to install? The coating thickness?

Yes. It was about 5 mils thick, so where it slides up on the frame, that's 10 mils total from both sides and 5 mils on the bottom. All this made it super tight to get lined up because there wasn't any wiggle room for adjustment. I had to clean out the holes so the bolts would go in easily and touch them up with epoxy paint. Just a pain.

I would recommend having the outer parts Line-x covered, but epoxy paint the parts you don't see that are used for mounting. You would never know the difference and it would be cheaper and lighter.

Nope, the thing has literally no give. I even tried putting the jack under the outside of the slider to move it up but nothing gained there either.
