The raft material is just as good... Or if you can find some black sponson patch (inflatable sides on a boat) you be in good shape... That stuff is a little thicker than the cover though

Have used TearAid in the past on lighter vinyl materials. Great stuff, comes in various flavors.

Yeah I like the stuff but as I mentioned I have access to their commercial offering which is amazing stuff. It seals up incredibly well and when our bags fail it's never been where the tape has been applied.

I'm sure there's plenty of products that work that's just what I have experience witg

First trip out this season was a success! Wired in some strip LEDs in the tent and annex, worked out perfectly! The cabling lives in the small side cover in the bed until i need them, then pull them out when needed and plug right in, flip a switch, and light! Also used a Mr. Heater portable propane heater connected to a 20lb tank that I kept on in the annex, worked out great! Turned it on high when I went up to bed...should have left it at low, got toasty :bananadead:. Will be getting a 40lb tank soon that will fit under the bed rack perfectly (love dumb luck!) so I can run it for multiple nights/few weeks during hunting season. Kept a small carbon monoxide detector up top with me too just in case, no issues whatsoever. Some pics for funzies - ignore the clowns in them :D

Quick Question, are 3bed bars really a need with the tent and two people in it? Or can I get away with with 2bars to support the tent kind of like the allpro bed mounts?

Depends on how you set it up. I personally built mine with 3 just because i wanted to keep the outside ones pretty far apart so the center one really does keep from any flexing. If you go with two I'd put them a bit further in (probably right below where each person sleeps) and I imagine it'd be fine.

EDIT: I also have bars going the length of the truck in the rack too, just to really be sure there is no flex.

Rodger that! My wife is only 125 so I figure I might be able to getaway with a two bar set up without the tent flexing. I guess better safe then sorry though just to have the extra support, Thanks.

Yes, it's the shasta standard so it's the size of a queen size bed.

You may have an older model. Tepui has moved the annex doors to the sides on the non-Autana/Gran Sabana models.

the Ruggedized is available in Orange, Grey or Olive Green. Green isn't an "old" option, it's always been one of the options for the Ruggedized models. Congrats on your purchase.

For those we keep the door in front of the ladder (~3' away from the ladder) because the sides are better used for extra sleeping. With doors on the sides of that annex it makes it tougher to sleep more than one extra person in the annex.

Thanks! I'm very excited for it to come off back order and actually ship! Projected arrival date isn't until July 8th right now... :annoyed:

There was a recent post regarding differences between Tepui Ruggedized tents and CVT Summit Series that stated that Tepui uses 300g material on the tents. This isn't accurate. It's actually 360g material used on all Ruggedized tents and annexes. Ruggedized tents have full aluminum floors as well. ;)

Makes sense. For me, it's mostly used as a mud room/storage.

I don't zip the floor in to my annex. Partially because my truck is too tall so it doesn't reach. I hate standing in a tent because then I need to clean it out. I just like the are to have access out of the weather to get into my truck. I fold the wall near my truck up so I can get in the back seat.

You can see here my annex doesn't touch the ground haha.
