So I got a 2009 Toyota Tacoma and I have icon extended travel front suspension. I got some new tires and they were a bit bigger than my old ones and they rubbed really bad. So I adjusted my shocks to lift my front end a little bit. And it fixed the rubbing problem. I'm just not sure if lifting it more like that if I need to do anything more to extend any of the parts that are in the front end to prevent further issues or breaking anything? Let me know if I need to do anything thanks.

My tires are 285/70R on 17 by 9 inch rims. And on my shock there is 2.5 inches or thread above the adjuster. my concern is I have desert racing upper control arms and they are almost fully extended and then if it will do anything to anything else being that extended. And yes it's a 4x4.

2.5" is way too much preload. Max recommended is 2". Sounds like you don't have any down travel right now and you CV joints must be at really bad angles. I would lower it down to 2" preload then cut and trim what is necessary. Also, do you know what your castor was set at? Are you rubbing on can mount side?

Ok I will drop that down. I'm not sure what my castor is set at. And it's rubbing on the cab mount so I will have to cut some stuff down.

Yeah you might have to do a cab mount chop. Look on bayareametalfab website, he sells the plates to get welded back on for cheap. Also, if you get your castor set at above 3.0, it'll pull your wheels more towards your front bumper causing less run back there. I usually request for 0 camber, 0-0.02 toe, 3.2-3.5 castor(aftermarket uca).
