Ha! I had three people helping the first time I put the bumper on. The second time I was alone. If you ever have to take the bumper off again rent an engine hoist. You can use the two tabs on the top of the bumper to lift from and they're basically right above the center of gravity (on the first gens at least). I plan on using this method when I install the ARB on the 2nd gen.

Hey all! Somewhat new to TW forums, just got pointed to the PNW posts today by @Digiratus .

In my first taco for only a couple months but I'm tired of how shiny it is. Plus, mud puddles and I have a long standing grudge after one slept with my mom a while back, so now I try plowing through them whenever I get the chance.

Hoping to find some peeps to start doing some easy day trips and weekend warrior stuff until I can get the truck to a respectable off road state.

Off-road AT DCLB. 17"TRD pros with 285 wranglers on em, 3" toytec 2.0 boss lift. Other than that, nothing too functional. I have a caliraised 31" light bar and two ditch lights landing on my door step in about a week.

Anyone regear recently and local? Love the 33s but the transmission can't make up its mind

Yup. Decide on tire size before you regear so you don't regret it later on. 4.88's and 33's is really not fun anymore

You went with 4.88s? How so?

Yup, I knew that I want at least 35's. 35's and 4.56 gears will feel like stock where 4.88's give a little extra torque.

I can't fit 35's well until I long travel, but wanted lockers ASAP so that's why I regeared already instead of waited.

Sucks because it's too much torque and high rpms. I have to hold the brake pedal down hard to stay stopped and it's kinda hard to come to a stop. Constantly spin the tires when the roads are wet, run 2250rpm at 60mph. Yes it never downshifts but if I was staying on 33's I would go with 4.56.
