6 of one/half dozen of the other. I pay the $1200 in full at the beginning of the year then have the extra $100/month after the fact to devote to something else (truck/house/whatever) and save a little in the long run by doing that. The alternative is paying the monthly cost and devoting the initial lump sum to something, but not the $100/month after the fact.

I'm paid bi-weekly, so two months out of the year give me three checks instead of two. One of those always falls in December or January, car insurance is due February 1st. I plan my finances around two checks per month, so that third isn't even factored in. I'll typically pull car insurance cost from that "extra" check so I don't even notice it.

And the result was cats? Dude must need to change his aftershave.

No, in Auburn. They've got one there that's right on the river. Guy I went to high school with is visiting from VT for the week and he and I grabbed a beer to catch up.

Bags didn't blow or I'd probably have broken arms. I think it deflected the car off/under me. Did a number to the frame though.

Thanks! It will do until I get another truck. I seriously miss it, I couldn't carry my weed whacker in the Juke without the front seat all the way forward and titled because it's so small.

No I mean just what I said. It's a girl "assistant coach" that loves the smell of dirty mens clothes after they have been working out. Funny as hell

Look up "Miss Honeywell Porkey's" if you've never seen the movie.

I typically do something similar. I usually make a triple payment or higher on my truck, put $300 aside to run to BJ's to stock up on supplies that take too much out of my weekly food budget and then try and make an impact purchase for the house (like a leaf blower, or something like that).

I have a zero based budget, so everything is allotted for. The only way I spend money on my vehicles is through "leftover" cash. If I allot myself $60/week for gas and I only spend $30 of a week, I'll throw it into a jar and wait for it to build enough to purchase whatever I want. I also allow myself 1/2 of any overtime I get to waste and anything I sell of car parts. Been working pretty good so far.
