I want Barnett to start so stinking badly. Throw him to the wolves. Let him grow up.

Agreed they have a lot of talented players, I just don't know how that will translate to the field. Not the proven ones, but the guys that saw limited action last year and are newbies this year. I also want to see how the LB's play as a whole this year without Kirby and without the talent all around that they have had in the past. No doubt the RB's are talented, but they aren't what Bama has been blessed with in the past.

The QB's you mentioned were some og the best game managers in SEC history (McElroy and McCarron). They didn't have the talent per say that the NFL wanted, but they were brilliant. Coker and Sims not so much, but they learned as the year went on and both got better with time. This will be interesting for bama this year, for the first time in a while they will be scratching their heads about their QB. Typically when that's the case you go run heavy, but with a questionable O-line and unproven RB's that will be a challenge....

I suppose that's a good problem to have, scratching your head on which QB to play when they are all highly touted 4 stars, and a 5 star, with Lane Kiffin running the offense...

Jeremy Pruitt is a K.Smart understudy. I'm guessing not much will change in the LB group.

Now, getting Ridley and Stewart the ball will be key, in helping keep some pressure off of the running game. The O-line is going to be just fine, sucks to lose Kelly, but I said the same about Barrett Jones. Pierschbacher will step right in. 4 star from Iowa. Cornfed.

    3: our turf doesn't tear up everyone's knees/ankles

I was in Kneeland a couple years ago when we won in OT. Walking up in the nosebleeds, you can't hardly fit 3 people wide walking down the hall. It was cramped and just felt old (because it is).

Please tell me what is ugly about this? It is the same as Samford but bigger? You call it a nose bleed but there isn't a bad seat in the stadium. Upper deck at Samford feels a mile away fro the field. IT is old, historic old, Samford is just out-dated. Go do some reading when comparing stadiums... you'll see Tiger Field, Bryant Denny, Neyland and the Swamp talked about. That's it. Boo hoo we had bad weather last year and ruined our turf. I didn't see any of our players tear ligaments... they did alright

The last few expansions at Neyland have just been putting seat numbers closer together. I can't speak personally because I've never been, but I haven't heard good things about it. I'm told it needs a multi-million dollar renovation.

    Cute pattern, though.

The last two renovations have actually decreased seating capacity.... We used to have a higher capacity. The same firm that did the renovations at A&M is here as we speak. I do like talking to the high-horsed Bama fans though... It won't be long until it feels like the old days where they're irrelevant and the fans start to disappear :anonymous:

A lot of our fans will disappear. I went to school there, though. Have an undergrad and a masters. I'm not going anywhere.

I'm partial, but BDS is a thing of beauty:

I really liked Bryant-Denny. It's updated, and the 4 corner scoreboards were a brilliant idea. I'm at UT now, and I start my Masters next year. Moronic fans always say "this year is our year" every damn year. The ones that know football knew a while back that this would be the year we really take strides and, like you all have pointed out, beat some of the best-of-the best. We need a top-10 win. And we need to do it while winning the games that we SHOULD, while winning the East. We won't have many cracks at it this year like we had in the past. We will play most likely an undefeated Bama team at home, as long as they beat Ole Miss. If we play at GA and they beat Ole Miss first as well, that will be our other top-10 match-up. If we win one of those games, while winning the ones we should then I would say we are half way there. The other half will be completed if we get back to Atlanta and compete.

Tell you one thing, I'm sick of how close a game Tennessee gives us most years. This streak won't last forever. What are you studying at UT?

I agree about the four-corner scoreboards, and I like the ribbon. I think they need to extend the ribbons a little more on the sidelines, but that's just me. The whole thing (and the way they integrate music) gives game experiences an NFL stadium kind of feel.

There are some other rooms in the athletic complex that are just as good looking as the stadium, too:

Bryant Denny is an awesome stadium, can't say I don't prefer Doak by a longshot though.

Well there's a lot of history between two schools. I'm hoping we bite the bullet and go through with a major renovation. I've seen some of the renderings and they look amazing. I'm a Supply Chain Management major, we actually have one of the best programs in the country (kinda random I know).

We still have some kinks to work out but I think we are on our way back to the top. It's much better football when Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee are great. Especially when we compete with the west every year. It may be getting to the point. Ole Miss could very easily drop off with every thing going on, Miss St had its little run and will go dormant again. Auburn is on the struggle bus. It looks as if the West will be top heavy for the first time in a while with LSU and Bama going into the future. Hopefully that'll be the East's chance to win some games

I went to Neyland a couple years ago, for the Bama game, and I know I am a bigger fella, at 6'2" 220lbs, but it was fucking TIGHT. Yes, everything looked dated, but the fans we were seated nearby were nothing but amazing, and even played along as Amari took the opening play to the endzone as I convulsed and screamed. I would have liked quite a few more inches to sit on and in, but the fans pretty much erased the pain by being understanding. God I hate the color orange.

The West needs to step up. Starting to look scarce. There is quite a bit of settling going on, and the East may just come out smelling like a rose.

I can respect it, as its a cool CFB thing for UT. Its just that fucking ORANGE. Tell me you wouldn't fucking love it if it was black and red.....(even though you guys have a tough time when trying to be cute, like black out games and such....lol)

No I've never been a fan of checkerboard, I'll just leave it for racing.

I would love to have the money and time to visit all the major college stadiums though. It would be cool to see them all in action and feel the environment for each.
