Is it an RTT? Didn't know you ran one. What rack are you using?

Wow that is indeed a big mofo RTT. 4-person? Also, as far as the rear end sag goes, a lot of that weight is out behind the axle more. On a DCLB, the axle would be about a foot farther back, so there would be less weight behind the axle, causing less bro lean.

I figure my Leer cap is about 150 lb. The Prinsu Toprac is 36 lb.

My rear shocks have about 11" of travel if i remember. Bilstiens i can get get the model number if you like. The bottom eye we had to shave down a little and pry open the mounting bracket to get them to fit right, but it was no big deal.
Your driveway is just like mine. Only i have a fence on the neighbors side wakes it wven more cramped.

Expos will work good for the rear. I have loaded the bed full and tow the boat with little sag. They fex fine without weight and flex good with weight. I dont carry weiggt dailly but they havent saged yet. Got about 35000 to 40000 on them.

That's my old driveway LOL. It did kinda suck when rotating tires with my back against the wall.

New "driveway" is the little bit of concrete apron under my back wheels here. The rest is gravel alley.

As far as Bilsteins go, Crom has tried out the Bilstein 5100 B110 for rears at the suggestion of some other guys in Socal, and got 3 more inches of down travel. For the fronts in the future (currently OME), he is looking at Bilstein 6112.

My main point here is that I am keeping myself honest and gathering facts before just blowing a wad on Kings or Icons.:homer:

Those maybe the same ones i went with. The exp, claps lengths sound about what i remember.those will work fine for the rear. 11" of travel at the stock location seems la git compared to doing a pricy shock relocate.
Maybe someday i will, but for now its been working good.the fronts if can aford it get ture coilovers that are rebuildable/ adjustible. The 6112 are kinda pricy arnt they.

I like the fact that you can run the soft topper also. I may change my setup someday to do the same but for now it'll work. Your truck is looking good man!!!!

That looks good man! No sag at all. I'm leaning more towards them than the Dakars, but my concerns are: 1. what shocks I'd run with them (front and back). I could get the rear kit from all-pro, which comes with billies, but then I'd want to match the front and I'm back at the billy/eibach thing. I read nitrchargers aren't long enough for expos, so that leaves more expensive CO's with matched rear, which starts to get out of my price range. 2. I read that they give even more lift on 1st gen (4 - 4.5"). I might either have to take a leaf out or lift my front up to a full 3" and then, I'm looking at UCA's which again starts to push things out of my price range.

All-pro is back ordered on their CO's.

In addition to whatever suspension upgrade I make, I want to buy some armor. I wrecked my last 2003 a few months ago when I hit a deer head on at 70 mph with no armor. The struggle to replace that truck with the one I have now was real. So I want to do both susp. and armor before the summer's gone. Then I can do some runs with your guys.

Yeah....half the price of Kings though. Worth investigating. I was totally off Bilsteins after the 5100 experience, but I think other, beefier models deserve a look. I was curious about the coil itself, and it does say "Bilstein" on it, and is a 600 lb rate, which is the same as...a 600 lb King. Downside: dat predetermined clip height adjustment. With Kings, infinitely adjustable, no weak point in the clip/perch, and rebuildable/can swap out higher rated coil in future if needed. I think I have that right. So...Kings could be a better long-term investment, I suppose.

BTW, there is a mobile shock rebuilder based in Roseville. Had you heard about him? Show up at your doorstep with his trailer shop....

you forgot that the 6112 cant be rebuilt. so half the cost but there throw aways like the 5100s just heaver duty. you can spring them with the same springs as the 5100, so you have options there. also you could get the toytec kit and have the adjustable coilover but then your at almost the cost of icon and kings. and when they break there done. if it was me i would just buy a good one the first time. the rear dosnt have to match. and you could always change those out later. i got my rears for super cheap$100 for both. and when you buy your shocks front or rear i would call DSM or PM them in the vendor section. Dude has the best service i have ever dealt with and the best prices as well. I cant recommend them enough.call this guy.i order 3 days ago they will be here today.

This is the struggle for sure. Trying to find something that works for what ya need without breaking the bank. It took me a while to figure it out. I've had 5100s, full OME and now Kings.

All i can say is buy once cry once. It's worth it to not have to redo it multiple times. Wish i had done it that way myself...

    Good luck!
