Good idea. Cleaning that thing after real wet weather is a PITA.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
No idea, was in Grand Tetons & Yellowstone all week, going to try calling REI tomorrow and check on it, as well as see if they can swap me for a grey before it ships to the store

Do you have on board air? To fix that you could just deflate your tires a bit and itd touch the ground...

I don't but I will! I would need to go completely flat to touch the ground.

 better off digging some holes and then pulling the truck into the holes to have it sit lower!

All of which sounds like a first rate PITA. Just do what you've been doing.

Wouldn't be the case if it starts raining... Then you have to bring your already muddy shoes in the tent... And he can't slee more people in his tent without a floor... Plus hed never have to close the entrance to the tent itself... Only the annex doors.

A wooden platform would be nice... And you could make it in halves or quadrants to avoid having a giant piece of wood... Instead youd have 2 or 4 smaller pieces to pack...

Yeah I'm not that irritated by it
The only real reason I'd want to do that is if it got cold enough where I wanted a heater in the tent. I'm in CA so that's rare. If it rains I sleep in my rig haha. SUVs are cozy with the seats folded down!

    Hi All:
I found this thread as part of a data mining exercise on RTT's so I hope that this is the proper location to post about my experience thus far in dealing with manufacturers?
    Thanks!

I ordered my first tent last month from CVT. Called in the phone with a few questions they were incredibly helpful in answering my questions. The tent I wanted wasn't in stock so they upgraded me to the star gazer and even offered a discount. Placed my order on the 25th of May had my tent the 1st of June.

Anyone know nagged ways to bug proof a tent? it seems as if the mosquitos are getting in and I think it could be where the tent folds
