Who wants to test and do a write up of RSI LED Headlight Kit - Free LED Kit

Because the LED sits on a chip and electronic chips are more sensitive to heat versus a filament in a halogen bulb. I believe in the OPT7 LED head lights thread someone did use a temp gun and there was a 20 degree difference in temperatures.

 

+20 LED being warmer or -20 cooler? My concern is over the long haul if there is increased heat will the halogen enclosure handle it over time or in a few years am I going to have to replace everything not just a couple of bulbs?

 

The heat will be outside of the housing, that's what the heatsink is for, draws the heat away from the led and towards airflow.

 

As I've stated before LEDs run cooler than halogen or HID lights.

 

Yes I appreciate your condescending reply and if you look at your first post it said 20* difference in temperature you never said + or - and my question was answered 4 hours ago by Sandman if you read the post above, but you still have to put in your know it all reply. I just don't understand these guys who were given the opportunity to do a product review and all they do is say they are bright and show the light pattern. There is more to it than that.

 

I would do it, I currently own a pair of OPT 7 LED headlights and get high beamed often, though they are bright, I am looking for lights that resolve this issue. I can write with good language skills and with the comparison with 3sixty lighting LEDs as well, I have experience with other brands. 2015 Tacoma, I am also the admin for Thunder Bay TOYOTA Offroad, so I have people to up sell if they are any good!

 

That's all 99% of all people care about. Few people even know there's a difference in temperature of the bulbs and most who do wonder usually use a wonderful invention called Google to look up the answer instead of expecting to be spoon fed everything.

You're a day late. Have you checked your head light aim? I also have the OPT7 LED head lights and have never been high beamed, but I also made sure they were aimed correctly after switching to them.

 

Darn, I adjusted them yes. Maybe I need to go some more.

 

No your first post was a smarty pants reply. I am using tacoma world as my Google from people who have the same product as me and I do know LED are more efficient my concern is the heat sync with the fan and will my housing be fine for years to come.

 

Oh yeah, and I'm also 6" up...

You are right about that. If you want reach get projector housings. They do go far, to be honest I think OPT7 are better than these based on what I just saw. Halogen will go further but no where near as bright or wide (which is really what you want). If you want extra range get a "spot sighted" light bar.

 

Probably the lift that's causing you to get high beams. Anything brighter than stock will probably result in that.

 

I am severely disappointed with LifetimeLED quality.. And yes, as bohlaah said.

 

The ones in the video posted look like something from the days of 3 watt LEDs. The RSI kit in this thread looks a heck of a lot brighter.

 

I assure you they aren't inexpensive lights(at least not retail price, who knows what LifetimeLED is getting them for). They are the same style as the RSI and OPT7 lights. The Honda headlight housings suck imo too.

 

Well I could test them out, but I already have good lights. I'm sure I would write a review or something if I were to "receive" a pair?

 

So I read the whole thread here and the couple posts on the Group Buy but didn't see the info about warranty if there is any, could you elaborate on this OP?
