Canadian 3rd Gen Thread

I found initially when reversing the gear was quiet sticky, now I'm around 350 km it seems to be a little easier to go into reverse. I haven't had any issues with the other gears, very smooth.

 

Thought this may be useful info to some.

I got a windshield quote strictly out of curiosity today, $599 CAD installed. Was told that no third parties have made replacement windshields yet for the new Tacoma's. So OEM replacement cost only.

Could be worth looking into glass insurance.

Had a customer put some decals on his truck this week. Retro Toyota Truck.

 

Just picked her up last night. From Langley Toyota. TRD Sport w/upgrade package. Thinking shark steps as wife does not like getting her pants wet on the side of the truck. Then I need some sort of a rack to handle the canoe yet I have a lot of research ahead of me.

Yes sir. The dealer fucked up last minute and didn't have the right truck and had to trade with someone else in town so you probably saw her in transit to my dealer here haha.

 

That would be a supra in the background! And I would welcome an older one in my driveway anytime!

 

My truck showed up on May 20th, just in time for May long!

Just a bit of size difference from the old H3T to the new Tacoma.
I picked her up and promptly put the Tacoma to work!



I put 300 kms on the Taco driving to the cabin and back in the Bronson Forest Recreation Area in N.W. Saskatchewan. I got home the Monday night and was sent back up to camp and I've been trapped up here ever since.I've been trying all winter/spring to find a job in Banff to be done with this oilfield camp b.s, I'm done with it.
Can't wait to get home tomorrow and drive the snot out of it!

I'd be up for a meet and greet!! I just got back from Calgary with the taco from driving all the way over from Van Isle for work, only to have the jobs get canceled and have to drive all the way back. Nothing like racking up a few thousand km's on your truck for nothing. Thankfully I got to spend some time in Fernie for a few weekends on the MTB trails.

 

Question: I may be moving provinces in September for grad school and I want to pre-order the TRD Pro. Will a local dealership be able to order a pre-order shipped to another province? Any ever done this? Cheers.
