We're getting close to having our new series of billet upper arms ready to start shipping out for the 2005-2016 Tacoma's. More info to come but here are some quick points.
    • CNC machined from aircraft quality 6061 aluminum
    • Bolt-on uniball caps
    • FK 7/8" heim joints
    • FK 1.25" uniballs
    • Corrected caster for lifted trucks
    • Corrected camber for lifted trucks
    • Standard and high caster heim spacer settings (3-5.5 degrees positive caster)
Here are a couple pics of them and one of our Tundra LT arms to show you the color they will be anodized.

First sets will be available through SDHQ in Arizona.

What would be the advantage over tubular?

    Very nice!
    Price point?
Is the adjustable caster/camber really needed of Tacoma's?

The benefits are in the details. With machining an arm you're able to bring features and designs that would be difficult or very costly to try and do with something tubular. Some aspects couldn't be done with a tubular arm. You have total control when CAD designing and machining a part with precision accuracy in every detail.

They will retail for $1395/set. With the ability to adjust camber/caster it will allow the arms to work with more suspension kits out there with taller or lower ride heights. If someones frame is bent from an accident, you'd be able to compensate with the heim adjustment as well. It's not needed for everyone, but does give more tune-ability. Most wont adjust the heims, but we designed the arms and heim spacers to have a standard and high caster setting. The standard setting will give you 3-3.5 degrees of positive caster and the high setting will give you 5-5.5 degrees of positive caster, a 2 degree adjustment just by moving the heim spacers around without affecting your camber settings.

When they get closer to being available we'll put up a lot more detailed info on our website.

At the end of the day we wanted to design and build an arm at the highest level.

Ahh higher quality, I had to ask, you know how much crap people on TW talk about icon's billet arms so I had to check myself what the scoop was

Yea we use FK 7/8" heims to allow for more adjustment if needed.

Here's a diagram showing the different caster settings based on the heim spacer arrangement.

Yes and No ... if you're referring to poly bushings at the frame squeaking than yes, since we use heim joints instead.

If you mean from the uniball then YES because the cap helps keep dirt, grime, etc out of the joint and NO because at some point ALL uniballs regardless of brand can make some noise here and there. That's a whole other conversation, but most times uniballs squeak because they are dirty and just need to be cleaned.

One aspect the machined arm does bring to the table is the fact that there is no welding to distort the cup the uniball presses into. That can help with squeaking and wear resistance.

This will be my next upgrade soon but my question is, will this work with upper coil bucket tower gussets from total chaos?
